Arun Sharma is a good book for both DI and Reasoning:thumbsup:....and for english you can read Arun Sharma's VA and can also practice from Career Launcher study materials.they are really good:cheerio:!!

nishit sinha n arun sharma-both r iim grads n books r written so smartly tht only the blessed ones cud undrstnd them fully:banghead:.theory part is ok but not fully covered:nono:.problems have errors in ques n most do not have solns n to that ans r not fully correct.:sneaky:

abhijit guha follows formula based approach.u can check ur comfort level with this.cat,xat esp.do not give ques tht can be only solved by formulas

personally i feel tht if u cud arrange time mtrl for quant n di/lr thn it wud help u more alongwith quantum cat:cheerio:

for voacb u can read a book by norman lewis named word power made easy.:cheers:for va ims mtrl is best:w00t:.as is crap

Thank you saarji for explaining everything. Among Trishna or Nishit Sinha or RS Agarwal which one you prefer??? I can collect Arun Sharma and IMS materials from some of my friends but Tri or NS or RS Agarwal, I have to so which one can be called as bible, so that I can entirely rely on that book.

THERE IS NOTHING CALLED BIBLE IN MATHS COZ THERE IS NO END TO PROBLEM MAKING:banghead: BUT BASICS REMAIN SAME N IF WE KNOW HW TO SOLVE PROBLEMS THEN ITS THE DEADLIEST COMBINATION POSSIBLE

FOR DI/LR STEAL/BORROW/BUY TIME MTRL COZ ITS THE BEST MTRL EVER WRITTEN ON THIS TOPIC N PRACTICE FRM AIMCATS;)

i have a important query which may decide the course of my CAT prep over the next 60-70 days.

i had enrolled in Time classes and have the entire set of material

for Quant, i was wondering, should i stick to Time material only, or will it help if i shifted prep to another book like Quantum Cat or Arun Sharma? i know it is too late now to think about trying to prepare from multiple books, so i wanted to know if i should continue with Time books, or switch to any of the above mentioned books instead.

PS .: i dont know if other's have this problem, but each time i open the TIME material with its graying thin sheets and rub-off ink, i suddenly lose my mood to study. i dont know if im going mad or wat hence, the decision to switch materials

as for the caselets, only practise wil help..do TIME SMs n prev yr's aimcat Qs if u can get them.. also visit the LR DI thread on PG (this year as well as previous ones) u'l find LOADS of Qs with discussed solutions.
