Has any one tried this book
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasonong by Time Institute?


I have browsed through around 30 previous pages but found no consensus on best book for Data Interpretation for cat.
Can you please advise me how to prepare for DI for cat? Is there any good book to follow ? If not which Institute study material should i refer?

what else i should refer 4 quantd


Go for Arun Sharma -- very good presentation but some questions are too difficult than CAT level.
Also try Sarvesh Verma (Arihant) for additional practice....


for verbal
pls suggest a dictionary nd any book which i should read..



For vocab 'Norman Lewis' is the best....(unless you wish to mug up an entire dictionary).
For grammar, refer Wren and Martin / Orient Longman 'high school English Grammar' if you have the time and inclination.....but I am sure the TIME material will be sufficient enough to keep you busy ...

can anyone tell me how is the book manhatten sentence correction bible?? approx price?? what to do for grammar prep as I find CAT grammar is mainly application based...wren & martin probably wud not be suitable very much...

Is it necessary to practice Vedic Maths. Are there not any other options to improve the speed ?? I tried trachenberg, but was not comfortable reverting back to conventional maths during solving

no need for vedic maths in cat/xat!
only option to improve speed is practice

I am regular viewer of holly movies too.
started reading newspaper (engilsh)

Suugest me some more good ways to enhance my eng.

Sure Start reading The Hindu and ET on daily basis.Read the whole paper. Take out words from it and write them down with meanings. Make a habit of reading the whole newspaper in a time limit.

But first you should try to strengthen your vocab.Try to learn and use about 2500 new words.I understand one has the tendency to forget words but you could learn words only by being familiar with them ,again and again. You can easily learn 25 words on daily basis and revise 3 times a day.Then....

Pick up material from CL,TIME OR any other coaching institute etc and do Para-jumbles,RC,Analytical reasoning,Logical Reasoning. You should practice daily without gap.

I have heard that "trishna's quantitative ability" (TIME) is a nice book. can anyone please tell me how is the book. i solved the Arun sharma's Quantitative ability during my last year preparation. now i m looking for another book for higher level preparation.

Try out Quantam CAT by Sarvesh Kr Verma (Arihant Publishers).....best source are the mock papers though.....as you are already done with basics

should i go for 1-2 mr attempts as i have my heart set just for top 15 B Schools but i dnt have a job in hand n luking to enter into Bank as a PO...??

plzz help me in detail hw to proceed bcz my family is against me a B school like FORE, UBS, K.J Soumaiya or DSE if i get a call n convert dem....

everyone says its a big gamble...

plzz i genuinely need help in prep n sum advice...
