IIM CALCUTTA WAT & INTERVIEW WAT TOPIC- Recently, 'censor' board has imposed cut on some type of movies.what was that?why it was imposed? what will be the negative effects on society of this cut imposed? PI- i was 3rd to be interviewed by my panel.there were 2 panel members p1-he was a male(age 40-45 approx).intense luking guy who was so serious that even kapil sharma would find tough to make him smile. p2-he was a male too(age 35 approx).he was slim guy wearing informals and for the first 10sec i was confused that is he a panel member or a peon kept there to open the door and serve the intense luking guy.he was not sitting on the chair but leaning on it as if it is not the chair but his bed where he can sleep even.For the whole interview he had this derogatory smile on his face as he was making a fun of me. candidate before me came out of the room looking relaxed and told me they had casual talks.after 1 min door opened by p2(derogatry smile) and they called me in. me-may i comein please(realizing i m 1 step already in). there were 3 bowls kept on the table..containing almonds, cashew, and toffees.i was excited thinking about they may offer me some as i have heard from some candidates that they do at the end of the interview. p1- comein, have a seat!! me- thanku sir!! p1- so shubham u r ph..can u explain what is the problem wid u? me- sir in 2008, i was....(explained it all) (i was still confused whether to address p2 as sir or he is a peon) p1- where r u from? me-sir yamunanagar,haryana? p1-yamuanagar is on the border of U.P. right? me-yes sir, from saharanpur district.previously roorkee was also nearby but now it is in uttrakhand.chandigarh is also not far away...ambala comes in b/w p1-u r from nit kurukshetra? me-yes sir p1-what is ur branch? me-sir electronics and communication(realizing now he is going to grill me on acads of which i dont know anything about) p1-u must have studied ccommunication security? me-sir, OSI layer? p1- OSI layer is used for communication security? me-sir,it is used for networking. p1-tell me how communication done b/w presidents and higher officials r secured? me-(trying to remember a word of which i know about but was not able to recall that word "CRYPTOGRAPHY" GOD DAMN IT!!!...5sec..6 sec...7 sec...but all in vain...and then just kept a smile on my face nd said with condfidence)sir,i have studied it my last sem but not able to recall (p2 was still having this derogatory smile on his face and leaning on his chair) p1-what is switching? me- sir,...(told him a little i know thanks to the non-serious training which i took in BSNL) p1-ok, do u know calculus? me-(remembring the previous day when i got to know from sm1 that they r asking integration which not many r able to solve)yes sir, i have studied it in +2,i can try p1- ok what is the basic condition for a function to be diffrentiable? me-(trying to remember but no clue)sir, i dont know p1-ok can u integrate x^(-x)? me-sir, ..(trying to explain him verbally) p2-(with a derogatory smile) yes x ki power -x+1 divide by -x+1. me-sir, it doesn't apply here..for that there should be a variable ki power constant ..but this question has variable ki power variable. p1-(gave me a notepad nd a pencil) solve it here me-(trying to solve n wishing i would have in +2 now..but unfortunately i was more qualified) p1-(after some seconds)ok leave it p1-what is 987 cube? me-(writing on a notepad)sir (1000-13)cube = 1000cube - 13cube -3*1000*13(1000-13)...and then we can solve(praying that he doesnt ask me to solve further bcoz its too much of calculation) p2-ok what is last digit of 987cube? me-(wrote it on notepad and then realized i do not require it to write) sir 1!!...no sir 3!!!(ohh man!! i did 7^4=2401 before thanks to a gap of 2mnths for which i have not touched my quant) p1-what was the big deal in this ...we only have to do 7^3. me-yes sir, by mistake i did 7^4 before. p2(again with a derogatry smile)-how many prime factors r there of 182? me-(writing on notepad) sir, 2* 13*7....sir 3 no sir 4!!(what the hell!! how on this world can think of 1 as a prime number...GOD DAMN IT!!) P1-sure? me-(very confidently and luking into the eyes of p1) yes sir 4!! p1-ok who is the governor of haryana? me-sir mr.pratik solanki(WHAT!! pratik solanki is one of my batchmate in college) ...no sir mr.solanki...mr.kaptan singh solanki. p1-(both p1 and p2 laughing seing me fumble on the name of governor)where is he from? me-(having no clue where is he from and had to make a guess..and with a full confidence and luking straight into eyes of p1 immidiately said)RAJASTHAN!!(later on googled it and he was from M.P.) p1-(after luking into my eyes and watching me from head to chest with that intense luk for 3-4 sec said with a low voice)no!! me-i have read it in newspaper but may be i m wrong p2-(again trying to insult me)acha!!who is the governor of RAJASTHAN?(I'm from haryana born in U.P. giving an interview of calcutta which is in west bengal..how d hell can he ask me governor of rajasthan) me-sir, i can't recall p2- i can give u a clue..he has been C.M as well(he was the C.M of U.P when i was not even born) me-sir, sorry but i am not able to recall p1-ok ur interview is over me-thanku sir ( atleast ask me. Toffee) personal assesment- may be not the best of interviews..not able to answer them but was saying everything with a lot of confidence and smile on my face...fingers crossed for result

Is there a realistic chance to convert SJMSOM at 86.93? Profile is as follows 83.8/73.8/6.52 work ex 3yrs Cat-SC P.S: I ll be spending arnd 10k on the PI WAT process. So is it worth going?
