Is there a realistic chance to convert SJMSOM at 72.28? Profile is as follows Xth 71, XIIth 63.80, Grad 81.30 work ex nil Cat-SC. ?? Not shortlisted yet any chance of further lists by IIT-M? or getting a call from any IIM?
My sectional scores worry me VARC 86 QA 76 **LRDI 25.11**
from the file that i got hands on i got this detail........
@ashokdd got call from IIT-M and he has a experience of 29 months and better Xth and Xth marks but overall percentile is 71.40 BUT VA SECTIONAL **38.02**

IIM Lucknow interview experience: 2 panelists- P1 male 50 yrs old, P2 female 30+ They were very cool through out the process.. It was mostly abstract. They welcomed me.. P1: so Mr Barney waht are the benefits of being happy? Me: answered with great happiness :D P1: what is attitude? What is discipline? What is punctuality? Me: answered briefly P1: what did you had for breakfast? Me: upma :P P1: so you like south Indian food Me: I love everything as long as I feel comfortable ( what kind of interview is this?? ) P2: how much you would you give for your WAT? Me: 10/10 :P P1: what is the first thought you come across when you think about Pakistan? Me: Peace talks P1: what would you do if you were given the responsibility to resolve the issue? Me: I started from basics, partition effect, border issues, money laundering, terrorist activities, blah blah Explained for 7 min (They were convinced) P2: so we forgot to ask. Tell me about yourself Me: [yeah finally it came :D] explained P2: so you are a drummer. Can you do some beat boxing for us? Me: DONE P2: can you sing a song? IIM Calcutta Interview Experience: 3 panelists, P1: female 30+, P2: male 55+, P3: male 35+ Firs let me explain the situation over there.. I was the 7 member to get interviewed. All the guys before me came out with fucked up faces( that scared me enough), they were asked about Fourier, Laplace, Newton , etc etc. We could actually hear how they were belted inside. For a moment I thought of ROADIES :P So P3 came out and called me: I entered as am going to be the BALI KA BAKARA Fortunately they didn't look like that except P2 ( he was busy in eating nuts). P1 and P2 were cool. So here we go! P3: tell us something about yourself Me: explained with a smile on my face P3: so you work for X company, what is your role as a manager? Me: explained my responsibility, achievements. P2: so you had great work experience. Why don't you continue? ( so here comes WHy MBA?? :D ) Me: explained my managerial skills, my future goals. P2: drwwedda aae llaaeeymn dagraawmn ( yes this is how he sounded) Me: sorry sir I didn't get you. ( what the puck is wrong with you man! Stop eating! Have it later) P1: Draw a line diagram for power distribution ( Yes am an electrical engineer) Me: I Did ( am good at this) and explained the distribution schemes P2: AC vs DC?? Me: explained. P2: types of circuit breakers?? Me: explained (thanks to my work exp) P2: explain gauss law? Me: explained P2: so you are good with your subjects. Then why do you have such bad CG?? Me: I have admitted and was genuine with my reasons. P2: honest huh! :D P3: so what is your favourite subject?? ( shit man!! He wanted to grill me I guess..) Me: sir it's Geography :D P3: awesome! We have an expert here. ( he directed towards P1) ( what did I just do!! Is this the biggest crime I made?? Why Geography. ) In the mean time I maintained the fake smile :) P1: so relax Me: :) ( am shit scared baby) P1: since you said this is your favourite subject, I will ask you 10 questions. And I need answer for all of them. Me: I will try my best P1: what is a lagoon? Me: explained :D P1: what is an archipelago Me: explained :D P1: which is the biggest one? Me: Indonesia?? P1: difference between easterlies and westerlies Me: explained P2: neighbours of Pakistan?? Me: explained P1: which state is the largest producer of cotton?? Me: I did ( not mentioning here! I want you people to Google :D ) P1: formation of Himalayas?? Me: explained the continental drift theory P1: very good! Am impressed! Me: thank you! ( this has raised my confidence to a different level! :) yes am above Himalayas right now! ) P1: so play drums and tabla Me: yes ma'am P1: can pay here on this table? Me: of course P1: you must be doing beat boxing too Me: yes ma'am I do P1: can we please have an opportunity to hear it. Me: yeah definitely P1,P3: OK Barney thank you. P2( this guy is busy in finishing the nuts) PS: I just wanted to tell one thing. Don't judge based on others performance.. Be yourself, market yourself with calmness and humour. I am working in a company (Government of Karnataka undertaking). Now I am still in probationary period and the authorities doesn't give my original mark sheets and reservation certificate. Tommorrow I ve new iims interview . What should I do?
This is for all the semi new and new IIMs. The one conducted by IIM kashipur CAP. Centre : Mumbai. WAT and PI was scheduled at 12:30pm but it started at 2pm. Initially we were asked to wait in the waiting room and after couple of hours, 3 people one of them was IIM trichy faculty and other 2 were from the administration team came in and collected the IIM forms and divided us in 5 group of (5panel) 10 students each. After that WAT topic was given " fields like medicine, space, genetics has grown exponentially over the last decade, has man kind used it wisely, our views". After the WAT we went to the allotted rooms as per the panel. I was in panel 2 and 3rd guy to get interviewed. 3 panelists, P1: 35 around women P2: a dadaji P3: 35-40 guy. Entered greeted everyone. P1: so, tell me about ur job profile.(explained) P2 : If we shortlist u for all the IIMs, which one will u select (what will be the parameters to choose) (explained) P3: Asked me about the extra curricular activities.(explained) P1: 1. difference between law and legislation. (Don't know). Do Mumbai have a mayor(not sure), do nasik have a mayor(yes). Is Mayor related to political party or the sherriff ( mayor is related). Did u had lunch? (no ma'am I had a breakfast, was waiting for the process to start). P2 : What r judicial bill (I heard juvenile bill, I clarified so he asked me to tell abt the juvenile bill, explained) P3: Asked what point I was making in the WAT, explained. Asked do u know what BT cotton is, (answered). What is export or the current condition of cotton in nasik.(answered). Done !!! Overall not that OK since I took a time in answering the P1 questions and P3 was asking something that I am not at all related to. Figures crossed..... Hope this help you guyz !!! Good Luck !!!
