I am pretty confused in applying process. Some colleges are saying that their last date to apply is 2nd December (i.e before cat) and we need to pay their application fees. How do we apply for the colleges ? As we don't have the CAT results in our hand yet . So on what basis do i need to apply in colleges ? I have short listed imt , great lakes ,mdi , sp.jain and some more but i guess its very risky to pay them their application fees before getting the result . So , help me . Regards. So, without further ado, the first song from our playlist, (wait for it...*drumroll* ) is ‘ Ratta Maar’ from the film, ‘Student of the Year’. Hey, wait a minute, don't get disappointed with the song already. I agree our earlier interview with CAT 2015 Topper, Sabyasachi Mishra, stated that students should avoid learning anything new in the last minute, but we must acknowledge the efforts of the lyricist, Anvita Dutt Guptan, for making use of some very interesting metaphors to motivate students. C'mon, there are very few songs that equate one's mind to that of a pressure cooker, or make effective use of onomatopoeia like ‘patak patak’ to break the so called ‘knowledge ki deewar’ or the ‘ghis ghis’ to sharpen your mind . Brings back sweet memories of Rosesh from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, doesn’t it?
Also, we know CAT doesn’t involve ‘Ratta Mar’ (memorising), except for some formulas, perhaps, but our motive behind selecting this one was only for you to appreciate the lyrical masterpiece that this is!! Lose yourself to the lyrics and you may just rediscover your motivation to give it your best shot, for as the song goes, ‘O bhool ja average, chadh ja tu kitabo ke pahaad... Ratta Maar!!’

Recent i filled tiss application n uploaded nc obc certificate. Today i got a mail stating that the said certificate has been rejected. After calling them, they mentioned that certificate issued date was 1.1.2016 and they needed certificates issued after 1.04.2016. I asked if i could upload the new certificate after a week, they rejected the request straight away stating that since i have already made the payment, they couldn't change anything. Isn't it a bit harsh and autocratic to straight away reject the request without any way to submit it again
I have filled my cg as 6.48 instead of 6.45 everyhwere! Would it be a reason to disqualify my application if I own up to the mistake once I am shortlisted?
