Your best bet is to do it from American Society for Quality.Here is the link to their certification page.

These certifications are widely accepted throughout world.
I assume, you are not much exposed to Six Sigma, in that case I recommed you start with Six Sigma Green Belt - CSSGB
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification - SSGB - ASQ

puy log.. i am pursuing bachelors of business economics from DU.. currently in my final yr.. i wish to go for some certifications, as i am totally wella for the next 6months.. so i am planning to get few certifications under my belt, which(i believe) will give me some practical knowledge, as well as a bullet point to highlight in my cv. what say do u have about ncfm?? is it worth it, as almost every second guy has a couple of ncfm certifications???
also, i was going through the modules, i was unable to decide that which module suits me, as i am not pretty sure of my dream-profile till nw.. 
till date, i'v realised that share mrkt lures me, though i'v never invested even a penny in the market, nor i keep myself updated with the latest happenings of the dalal street. but i somehow have that attraction.

Can anyone with prior experience please tell me whether buying the reading material is really necessary or just reading from the text books will be fine. It is highly appeciated If in case anyone can suggest a way to procure the material in a less expensive way.

an ERP background,been 4 years now,and joining a graduate management
school this Fall.
Yes, the Learning System is way too expensive.However,that is the single most recommended material for success, as learnt from other forums on the web.Other important stuff are : Datachem 700 CD and 2520 practise
questions software.
The Clive/Chapman/Arnold book can be used as a starter.
Lets share and work the things out.

I have also recently learnt frm some sources that CSCP exam questions are purely focussed on the reading material available with their learning system. I am currently having my SCM course and hav also issued the Arnold book frm the library bt it seems tat studying the learning system thoroughly is a MUST!
I hav tried bt dunno hw to procure the same at a low price frm newhere! moreoevr i cant search for any softcopy on the net as mostly such dwnld sites r blocked by my insti!!!
neways, i m also looking forwrd to d june exam. if in case theres ne developmnt in this front in the future at ur end, plz do notify me as well. I will also keep trying.
