Hi dude,
as discussed on this board, go for NCFM certifications, the details for these are avilable on the following link :-
http://www.nseindia.com/ and click on NCFM

Azeem

plz tell me how to go abt APICS... I stay in delhi

yaar koi .. ERP certification ke baare mein bata do plz

ORACLE , SAP etc..
if someone has the info about it plz reply..

These are the certifications I know of;

NCFM (NSE). There are a total of 7 independent modules. AMFI is usually considered to be the easiest, hence usually the first one that students take. There are also equivalent exams by BSE (BCFM). Almost mandatory in Financial Services sector as everyone seems to crack it.

.

is it useful for final year student also ??

yes they are helpful for final year students too...

spare my ignorance, but are there any certifications that add value to the resume of a fresher interestedin mba in the field of marketing

CIM-UK, chartered instt of mktg--3 levels. chk their site for details. last i heard Alliance biz academy was nodal for CIM-UK. well recognized. course content similar to most Indian MBA's. will cover 70-80% of mktg splzn in MBa. gud study material. also available in mkt.

both oracle and SAP give certifications in erp. coaching avlbl in metros. require at least few yrs core functional exp before u go for coaching and test. pretty expensive. best is siemens--2lacs for classes plus test. many small instts of dubious nature.

Both have technical tracks also. SAP-ABAP, Basis, netweaver.
exp is the key. without few yrs of exp clearing cert is impossible.

hello people,

I'm doing final year MBA, specialising in Finance/Systems. I'm looking out for a job in finance profile, but mite join systems company too when it comes along with a good package.

Everyone writes the NCFM exams, i just wanted to know whether does it add any value to my resume'(i'm a fresher, EEE graduate), i know as such we get to know about the markets better but wanted to know does the certification helps in anyway!!

Cruise.

Ask urself what career u want to take. if its in to pure systems, it dosent helps with NCFM. if u are looking at finance-pure/consulting NCFM helps. to become a consultant in systems co. like infy/iflex helping in developing fin packages u need to be an domain expert in finance and not an systems guy. otherwise ur role in any systems/SW co. will be more tech only.
also look for a career in future to judge for plcmnts and not the fatter package. its pref to join pure fin and then grow up, get domain expertise and then get in to system/SW co. as consultant.

I didn't get what problems you talking about, but a brief description about the process for NCFM, register online at www.nseindia.com, Make a payment either through credit card or through ICICI bank slip after selecting the module you want to give the test for.

They would send you the study material, usually within a couple of days(in Mumbai atleast). You can take a date for the test at the time of registering or anytime later.

Thats all just land up at the centre on the said date carrying the admit card they provide online, the tests can be given only on week days.

any more info, ping me or visit their site.

The other one is FRM, offered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (www.garp.com). It is older and far more known than PRMIA.

APICS certifications are the way to go: search for IMRMI on google.

NCFM certifcations are a favorite among the B-School crowd. They are cheap, easy to crack and the modules are independent. In the Financial Services industry they are a legal requirement. For example, AMFI is mandatory for all in a MF/AMC. However, I am not sure if they are 'recognised' in the IT world as such. But all in all they are a sound investment for every B-schooler.

wrt ERP, I would advise everyone to stay away from shops providing "Free ERP Training + Project for Rs 9,999 Onlee" type of institutes. They wont add value to you, as every large IT co trains its freshers from scratch. The Siemens certifications is the best, but go for it if your company funds it.

APICS is a good way to go for aspiring ERP pros.
