Well I'm in Mumbai now..

What I had in mind was that people in the same city could meet up regularly.. and as for those who are not in the same city, there are still plenty of options.. email / messenger / skype... So i guess the key question is, are you keen?

Hi,

For annuity problems, all you need to know is the cash inflow, outflow, their timings and the discount rate. Based on this, you can anyways find out the FV or PV. What exactly are you looking for when you say a direct formula?

I think we should give a weeks time to everyone for studying so that they come up with doubts only after studying. So starting Monday lets take up TVM for this week.

Quants Study Session 2 Week from 25th June- 1st July.

I request everyone to go through all the topics in SS2
(The Time Value of Money,
Discounted Cash Flow Applications,
Statistical Concepts and Market Returns,
Probability Concepts) and come up with any doubts, everyone here will try solve them starting Monday. Also people let others here know whats important according to you in these topics or type of question you expect.
People who have joined institutes for studies could specially tell us where to focus as per what they have been told by their instructors.

Share and express this way we can all perform well.

Has someone attempted the TVM questions.
CFA Curriculum > TVM > Page 296 > Ques 18

The ques mentions cost payable at the beginning of the year. However, in the solution, this beginning concept is not taken into consideration. Something wrong somewhere !

If you haven't yet received them, please let me know, make sure you give me a gmail.com email address as the ebooks are over 1 Gb in size, that's why I can't email them and I am using Google Docs to share those files.

Finally, I am sorry for the undue delay in sharing these ebooks, have been busy with my ACCA Exams lately, just got them over yesterday, now planning to get CFA Level 1 Dec 2012 preparation.
Any tips, study plans, study schedules, or any way or guidance about how must I begin, please do let me know.

texas instruments BA 2 plus (costs 1500) or texas intruments BA 2 plus professional (costs 2500-2700)..

i wud recommend d first one.. (i bout d professional but dint find any difference dat is why)

guys pls clarify one doubt... i have applied for the book and till it comes i am going through quant section of cfa schwerz 2011..so is it outdated ?? is der nything new in the 2012 book
