No wonder you have started with FRA and completed it so fast. Enggs generally tend to start with quant or equity.
Is it pretty tough? I am yet to start.

a. time left is still sufficent, if u prepare dedicatedly , u will hv to put in a lot more hrs than usual but yes as per CFAI 300-400 hrs are avg. so u will hv to ask yourself can u give this much time plus atleast couple of weeks for practice and revision.
b. both are allowed, professional has few extra functions that we dont require at level 1 atleast, you can buy professional if you planning to give FRM exams also by any chance as well professional is costlier, so your call.
