very much possible though registration fee is high since all the discounted fee deadlines are over .. Not sure of Delhi , but you can get it couriered from xerox shop in mumbai ,. jus check previous thread for details

It wont go in vain for sure ..But before booking , have a look at syllabus and check if you can coup up with it 😃

Since you are ready to spend so much, why not shell out a little more and get proper guidance so that your money actually does not go in vain.

My advice is (like Naga mentions) first go through the syllabus and if you are comfortable, then register with one of the prep providers in your city (for classroom classes). Try to go for some provider which is not very big and where the trainer is senior and is ready to give you ample time.

Try to work on all angles and then you can surely make it a success.
@shubhib4u said: yeah I have seen the books...I have read a few of the topics in My Graduation & CFA level -1 is covering dose topics in very detailed manner...No doubt dere r many new concepts too.whenever I study I hv many doubts.I am just wondering where can I clarify dose ?
Schweser notes are written in simpler form ..so you shouldnt have so many doubts . you can make use of schweser videos too for assistance .

Most of the stuff is available on the net including syllabus, Schweser notes, videos, etc.

You should be able to get it from there. Otherwise you should also be able to find many people who are appearing for CFA in Dec 2012. Check with them if you can get a photocopy of the books or something.

Given ur time constraints and ur inhibitions about ur capabilities i wud suggest u 2 appear for jun 2013. As in these 3 mnths a dedicated daily study of 2.5 to 3 hrs and 5-6 hrs on weekends should be dere to gain confidence fr cruising through this exam.

If u can devote dese many hrs daily, den try fr dec 2012 oderwise shoot fr a sure shot june 2013

During last CFA exams in Mumbai, where was the centre? Can sb tell me?

How it'll impact ur preparation or ur decision of appearing for the exam?

i am not able to understand income tax in FRA even after reading several times

hello guys new to the CFA world, wanted to ask you what study materials to referfor level 1 dec,12 i have already got kaplan schweser notes. I would also like to know the time i need to put in to cover the portion. Also out of the calculators stated in the cfa site which one is more user friendly and better to use.

thanks
Anish.

Hello,

I'm planning to pursue an MBA this year, provided I get into a good college.

The question I have is - Many students are pursuing the CFA but what profile exactly is it useful for? I've noticed the trend among most of my MBA friends, who have opted to give the CFA, but cannot qualitatively explain exactly how it helps in context of the Indian job market.

Can someone please provide a link, googling seems to lead to lots of sites with generic differences between FRM and CFA; nothing about how exactly CFA can be leveraged in your job.

All people will have CFA certification

@iwantgovtjob

Try referring to Schweser videos, Helps me a lot

@iPrateek - i posted a q on i tax. plz answer

is it frm FRA? if yes den i havent started it yet, if no den plz post it again, sm prblm wid my browser :(

hi...does anyone know if there are any changes in curriculum from this june 2012 level1 exam and december level1..???

@kvssaditya

These things are explicitly given on CFA official sites or other internet sites. Please do not clutter this thread by these general questions and i once again request to go through the previous pages of this thread.

If u cannot be diligent enough to do it then i doubt how can you even think of clearing CFA L1.

Guys its 3 mnths now, so please come out with specific queries related to curriculum and difficult questions. Also i request to refrain from answering questions which are already answered in previous pages.
