CFA Level 1, June 2013

@jayagmb said: hi...can anyone tell me which option should I choose - eBook, Print or Both ??
Well it depends on your comfort level. If you can study with pdf and dont require printed books then go for pdf, since it is cheaper.

Depends on what you want - how you are comfortable reading. If you do not read on the PC - then order print. If you like to read on the PC, order ebook and if you want the flexibility - order both.

AFAIK ebook is not downloadable as pdf - you can only view it online.
@ambitiousgrad said: Hi guys,
I am new to this forum. I will also be appearing for CFA Level 1 in June 2013, although I haven't registered as yet. I am planning to join some coaching classes for CFA. Is it too early to start or should I wait for a couple of months and then start?
Also, are you guys ordering books from the CFA Institute itself?
Now that registration for June 2013 Level 1 has started, it is a good time to plan for and start studies keeping a target date in mind.
As far as the books are concerned, many of us are planning to get the scheweser books from mumbai. You can do the same..
hope this helps :)
All The Best ... !!!

I come to know that we can order the duplicate notes from some shops in mumbai...

Do they provide videos?? if not, how can i get them??

If there is no provider other than institute...is there anyone willing to share his/her videos??

I live in pune.

@[450876:vaibhav4mitbhu] yup, the xerox shops in mumbai do provide the videos also.

U can also download the videos from torrent.

@ambitiousgrad said: @aditya224102 thanks Could you please tell me the name of the shop in Mumbai and how much will all the books cost, including the practice questions and mock tests ?
hiii...sorry for the late reply.. you can get the material from OM xerox centre in mumbai. You will get everything from there.. It will cost you around Rs. 1200 :)
All the best .. :)
@ambitiousgrad said: @aditya224102 Thanks And all the best to you too
so when are planning to order your books ??

@[611286:ambitiousgrad]

where do you stay? Not keen on pristine? Everybody suggested me to not enroll for any sort of classes 😃 But I'm keen! Can I add you on facebook?

My advice is to go for the smaller Prep providers rather than the big names. The big names have more of a commercial mindframe and you do not get any extra time.

Smaller ones give you personal attention and their fortune is tied to yours. So they try to make sure that you succeed rather than just making money out of you.

In Bangalore and Bhuvaneshwar, I know of very good prep providers who are small but excellent. Not sure of Mumbai.
