Congratulations on passing Level 1! Now let us get down to business as we are pacing against time. A thing that I have observed is it's not enough to read a topic once and leave it untouched until may for revision. A revision,within a reasonable period of time is advisable. I'm reading FSA now.

Just confirming, India (BOM) is not available right now.
I selected KAT.

but the list of centres for June 2010 does not show bombay anywhere...is that so? correct me if i m wrong plz

It isnt now ..but it possibly will 2-3 months down the line as has been the norm on past few occassions

the case b/w icfai n cfa would come up for hearing and cfa would plead to court to allow conduct of exam here in mumbai and the esteemed court would give in to the request in the "greater interests of CFA candidates registered from india" :)

till then select any destination ...i might go 4 dubai or bangkok or singapore or hongkong !...spoilt for choice like every1 else

yeah, the same thing happened with L1 Dec 09
I think you registered late, because the center was changed in sept I guess.
Anyways fill up anything right now, we will get the BOM center option in a month or so.

Ya, It happens. All those who have their address in India will receive an email ( After the honourable high court permits ) giving them an option to keep their originally selected centre or Mumbai. For now, lets stop the centre discussion and concentrate on things within our reach. Lets plan things.

I just got the schwesers material from Om Xerox, Vile parle, Mumbai for Rs. 900. Lots and lots of it. Almost 40 % more than Level 1 ( If I had to quantify ).

I guess I will start with Corporate Finance. Will be damn slow because of the CA Final exam in November this year, Articleship ( Internship ) But Still, will try to keep pace.

Lets have some more people here and try to have some healthy competition.

Also I am not sure if I shud go for L2 this yr..Heres's why and why not
Why not--
1.I am not from finance background (engineer)
2.I have a 9-9 job
3.Will get time only on weekends
4.Havent studdied anything for L2 as of now...4 months left
5.Looking for a change of job as I am not in finance now
Why--
1.Though one might not want to consider this,this my only motivation ...>70%tile in all sections


Please help me out..luking for suggestion(s)

can you absolutely not take out 2-3 hours everyday ? Just to put things into perspective - L1 will not guarantee a good job in finance domain, and can you really wait one and half years to take L2 ? You'd have lost touch of most of the concepts by the time you begin preparing for it.
L2 separates the men from the boys, my suggestion is to take it. Don't even think about anything else.

Well, Some one said correctly. You will forget almost everything in one and a half year. 4 months comes to around 16 weeks. And If you can put in about 15 hours a week, that still comes to around 240 hours....
