CFA Level 2 2010

Tanika Nangia Says
Hey...ne idea whts the ideal time for preparing Level two...as I have not started till now.

Well it depends from person to person. L2 is certainly the toughest of the three levels. You should start prep soon if you wish to clear L2. I think studying for 4 hrs on the weekends with a minimum 20 day break before the exam(15th May to Exam day) should do the trick.

Hope that helps.
Dude you have guts. U planning to study from curriculum?

I dont think you can pass L2 studying from curriculum.

No offense meant dude but you have got no right to discourage people from reading the CFAI material. Don't make such gross assertions when you can't back them up with facts!

Well can you prove that its possible to pass studying the curriculum or rather it is possible to finish the CFAI curriculum by june 2010. Just because u feel something it does not become a fact. You have an opinion and so do I. I have clearly mentioned that in my opinion studying from the CFAI books you cannot pass. The subscribers of the forum are sensible enough to determine what is good for them and what is not themselves.

If they could, they would not be asking.
Stop trying to force feed your opinions.

Hi Puys,

Lets start discussing the various concepts an the study sessions rather than rallying opinions and other stuff.

What have u guys started with the in the syllabus.

You wrote this, did you not--> I dont think you can pass L2 studying from curriculum. This is an assertion considering you are just a level 2 candidate like everyone else is!!!

The onus of proving it doesn't rest on me as I didn't make any assertion! get that straight. And moreover dude why do you forget that you are pursuing CFA and to make gross statements about the books provided by CFAI that too on a public portal is simply not acceptable. If you are not able to read from the books, whatever the reason, why discourage others. stop being a sadist!

look who's talking. If you did not ask this question you have no business to interfere. If you do not understand a simple english phrase "I dont think you can Pass" I cant help you. In my opinion a simple "I dont think" is equivalent to "In my Oipnion". I still maintain that opinion. If u differ you may express ur opinion as no one has stopped you.

And what "gross" statements have I made about CFA Institute. I think u have lost it.

Well I have started with 'Equity'. It is a build up on level 1. The basic concepts are the same. In other words a detailed version of what we had in level 1.

You got no business to misguide someone on a public forum or be prepared to get admonished. Go spam that user's mailbox, who's stopping you!
And moreover who the deuce asked your expert comments on if he could pass the exam or not. You run your own show and others will run their own!!!

How I wish you could read properly. ''gross" statement about the books provided by CFAI is what I wrote.Never mind!!!

That is strange. As far as I now,it used to happen with everybody until last year. Don't worry though, you have a lot of time left to register.

I'm doing Schweser first this time since I've covered most of the L2 syllabus in my 2nd yr fin electives. I have completed the first 2 readings in Quants. Will complete the third and last reading in Quants next and then proceed in the same order as given in Schweser..

i've started from schweser but i'm finding many mistakes in the material

a case in point is SS 6 page 65 ques 8

Does anyone feel giddy after looking at quants or is it just me ???

Hi everyone,

Me too in the race for the CFA Level 2 exam.

Does anybody have link to download schweser question bank?

All the best to everyone!!

i just got my books CFA curriculum, anyone planning to go for schweser..?

Hey Puys,

I registered for Level 1 just 3 days back.
When can I expect to get the curriculum from CFAI?
My account info still says 'curriculum not yet shipped'

Thanks a lot

hi all

m new to this forum. plz help me out. i have a full time job from mon to friday. hav been reading from the cfa books only and i expect to finish the first reading by the 3rd week of April. With just 40 odd days left after that and also considering practicing questions n papers would be more important i have figured ot tat i'll be able to refer to schweser only in those 40 days. please advice if it's a right move or if i have read from the books and dont revise frm them it would be a futile effort and should read from schwesers alone from now itself?

please help.
