For me , morning session was a bit tough...but afternoon session came as a relief.
I think will be able to get 70/120 correct. Wats ur opinions on Cut off marks which will sail us safely. My take 68 - 70 will be enough. Hope i m not underrating it...!
Any ways, Mods if possible a thread can be opened to find out effective cut off this year...!

just aint enough i guess...arnd 70% ie 85/120 looks more realistic to clear the individual subjects as well..
I guess 80 is a more realistic figure.... It comes to around 66.67 %. If we assume that the top 1 % scored 95 % on an aggregate. Or it might be lower. But there is no chance the passing score will be more than 80/120 given the difficulty of the exam this time.
Just one request: do consider the passing rate of 42 - 48 percent. So wat i think is if the top percentile is around 110 marks. The last passing percentile will certainly come below 70.
And individual subject cut offs are very liberal. I have seen mark sheets of passed candidates who had below 50 in 2-3 subjects....!
And one more thing. I think 70% marks required ' was not the criteria even for level 1. So i think the cut off will fall below 60% for level 2
there is no such thing as top 1% or below 1% or percentile method for passing the candidates. the cutoff marks are solely decided by the angoff method by a group of charterholders. the 70% is the score suggested by the prep providers and not CFA institute. and it does not matters that in how many sections you fail as long as you clear the mimimum marks required. for level 2, a candidate scoring below 50% in alternative investments, quants and portfolio management can still have a good chance of passing, whereas scoring below 50% i fra and equity can lend you in trouble.
No discussions on L2? L1 was nothing compared to this anaconda..and cfa punished dearly for not going through its supplied text..cover to cover..( i referred 3rd party prep- schweser). i m pretty sure..for the big F..hope to go through cover to cover next time.

I passed too!! I actually did my afternoon session exam very well.. Was really worried about my performance in the morning test.. Fortunately passed the exam 😃 And I am really happy about that! 😃 Got >70% in 6 topic areas and between 50 and 70% in others!! 😃 What about others??
Hey Guys.... I couldn't clear... but one lesson learnt studying 12 days is not enough to clear Level 2 
cleared, with >70 in 7 and 50-70 in eco,quant and ethics.
I passed. yay !!!
L3 2011 here I come...

I had done very bad in alternative instruments but have been saved by other sections.

I cleared.. Quite happy considering i cleared 2 levels within 10 months.. 😃
Congrats to everybody who cleared CFA l-2. Well if let on its own time will surely fly away and June 2011 stares right in our face. So what about L-3 prep. does anybody have the material of has anybody even registered yet?
