hi puys! i m new to this thread.. i appeared for Fci exam today. it was cancelled.. another example of mismanagement! they distributed technical paper to all the candidates at my centre in the morning shift..they said it was due to mistake of distribution van which dropped wrong question papers at the centre !

Same thing happened at my center also..
I have few doubts in my mind I am going to fill form for CGL2013, I did blunder while filling form in CGL 2012 by preferring Inspector of post in top three options I dont wanna do that mistake again
Can anybody clarifyAll inspector posts in SSC are 5 days working(PO,Examiner, ITI,Excise,CBI etc) if not then which one?
Can we get enough time for studies in inspector jobs I heard Asst. in CSS is best for studies as i have plan for preparation for IAS. I am not very much money driven but I want a job if I could not make it to IAS then I should have good back up that is why I want to opt inspector posts first.
Which inspector jobs are best in term of promotions,few black money(honesty waali 😃 without doing anything wrong?
Please reply my queries who knows about SSC jobs.. I found this forum quiet usefull and hope my qs will be answered.

@abhishekgcet bro... i think if u want to take a chance in UPSC>.. take assistant post... they are in delhi.... u can get coaching there... and material also... inspector posts are not for studying.. but if u get ITI delhi... u may get good promotions.. but would be a little hectic job..
best option is ITI or ASSISTANT POSTS ...for upsc... u can go for auditor... as loads of time to study but its a grade c post... thats y i dont prefer...
@abhishekgcet MNC toh i would say is worst than tax assistant if u want that u should nt work as a slave.. have a say in the thing u work at... MNC is totally diff...
but i would say.. like u said u want a good job.. ITI... examiner , preventive officer are best but mostly they are hell a job to do due to work pressure and money is huge there.. are in coastal areas... mostly... ITI u can get ur state and promotions also.. money also if u want.. and if u dun u can work sincerely too..

If you are not money driven and have no interest in extra money Inspector jobs r gud especially excise. Being a field job you can take excuses and give that tym to studies. Your colleagues would be more than happy to take up your work as work=money in such posts. Once an excise inspector wrote in this forum that he was even told to prepare from home and his salary would be credited if he wishes so. And CSS has certain deptts in Home affairs n Finance where there is huge load of work and ppl are evn called on saturdays so leave this thought that CSS job is conducive for UPSC study. The only +ive is u won't be transferred out of delhi while in others u can be given intra commissionerate transfer but that would also take tym of arnd 4-5 years. By that tym u wud be free from prep, So choose wisely. All inspector jobs are 5 day jobs. Even in ITI ppl are getting full time for studying.
So again choose preferences a s your backup not for present but for future/
Having said that, CSS is alo a gud job if u keep away the extra part. This is the only service that doesn't act as feeder cadre. And ppl above u wud have started from ur level only. And being the policy makers and implementers it entails a high amount of prestige and power of course from US level (not as assistant)

@secretworld bro u have joined as auditor.. can u tell where accountants(CAG) are posted... do they work in same office as of auditor??.... or where else accountants are posted??

I heard that excise dont have good promotions is it true?(I heard most of the news from different websites 😃 as I dont have any other source infact none in the ssc )
Today I am doing some investigation on different type of posts through SSC and arranged them following order :
Examiner>ITI>Asst MEA>AEO>PO>Excise>Cypher>CSS>Railways
Do you have any suggestion on it ?

can you tell me what is the criterion for various posts inside CSS?i mean do we get to fill some kind of choice of deptt. within CSS or is it random independent of our marks.also what is the difference between CSS jobs & assistants in ministry of railway & external affairs.i am assuming they are just like CSS jobs except in the that ministry in Delhi instead of CSS.
@suzu12345 download the final cutoff list for CGL 2011 from ssc website.you can see the highest & lowest marks of candidates in all categories for all interview post services(including states wherever applicable).cutoff for CSS is lowest i think among all assistant in ministry services so if you have filled CSS as 1st preference you will get it for sure even if you have enough marks for other assistant services like railways,external affairs etc.
