@luckybychance yeah i agree.. UPSC CIVIL SERVICE some times select a candidate from reserve list after 4 years... i saw a case of 2008.. usko toh bhul hi gaeyaa hogaa... but those who doesnt turn out before nomination.. there cases are taken before joining of the same batchh,,

baat toh sahi hai lakin kuch fact hai jo cut off ko kam kar sakte hai not much but max 20 less than pevious year .......1) only 1950 can r giving inter last time 2592 2) most of cand at top 500 have filled either less post or states 3) more vacancies than last year 4) some can have opt randomly in a-----z order .............5) those who r selected last year n giving second attempt had already joined or remained absent
@abhi173830 bhai mera typing toh 100% hae... checked it 4 times... ppt aur excel mein issue hae.. uski cut off 60% hoti hae.... excel mein 2 page mein aaeya tha mera print out.. and ppt mein ek heading ka font size ajeeb sa aaeya aur brush nai kiya tha grey colour...
but they dont relax standards for CPT... that i know .. they do it for tax assistant...but not for CPT... acc to ssc chief..

but as of now non joined posts are referred to ssc for being taken up in next notification
@rattle yaara,,,as far as I know,,,,some 865 candidates have not attended interview,,out of 7500 (around) last year,,,this I can say,,this number may b 400-500.
ar as u r saying,,,ki top candidates has opted either, less posts or states,,,to v cut-off niche nai jayega,,,
if ur option exhausts ,,they will start to consider u in default order,,like,,,a,b,c,.....z

@luckybychance yeah... i also used to think the same.. but all of a sudden it was tweeted that there is going to be a reserve list.....so thats like a new thing... ARC recommendation i dun know.. may be something was changed this time.. i cnt confirm...
Reserve list is mostly used if there is a probability of increased vacancies.. or prob of candidates allocated seats not turning up for joining... if the non joinees issue is resolved in 1 year time then its like the reserve list is a waste thing as ssc is conducting exam again in 2013.. so lets see what ssc has in mind this year..
