i am also in same situation, we should send our case to SSC. nowhere is it mentioned that post pref is more important than state pref.
Beyond doubt post is preferred over state............... It is obvious. I will suggest u to go through notification of previous year results...its clearly written there.......k?

it was demand and Now DOPT has put up a proposal that needs a nod from cabinet and then it would be gazetted, so yeah this would happen , although nt sure when. If it does happen though this year i would be more than happy

i fail to see what is obvious about it. It could have been either ways. There was no mention in cgl12 notification, did not check previous result. filled it for the first time.

Obviousness explained below:
People prefer Post even if they get any state...or one of their preferred states.
e.g. If one wants to join ITO...he will join ITO in any of his preferred state and then look for other posts.
By your queries, you want to say that you prefer state over post. Then this is a bitter truth for you that post is preferred over state in reality.

Friends i thk auditors and acct will get 4200gp from this session ie ssc 2011 batch. As 7th pay comission is due.this will be applied soon ie may be after jan2013.

I need clarifications about some concerns ,plz throw some light on each of the following concerns>>>>
1)What is the job profile of PO , wat exactly is the work requirement? Does it involve too much work ,and will there be adequate time to prepare for UPSC while working as PO??
2)What is the starting salary of a PO ?
3)What are the career stages of a PO , the next rank and promotions etc?
I shall be obliged if anyone cn clear these points .

Job profile of po is worst among all the jobs which are known as gov job....10to 12 housr daily work.....and yes if u would request for leave aisa lagta hai amrit maang liya ho.... very much work load.. no time for ur self study to door ki bat hai
starding would be 25165 presently aftrer deduction would be getting22000 approx as now pf and nps( new pension scheme ) both would be deducting from salery but u wolud also get some allownaces montly

It seems u are already in the post of PO? dude u have put forward to me a completely new perception about this Position . so u mean that CGL jobs are far better than bank PO.
