in cgl advertisement 2012, (Page 20, section 12, 2nd para) it has been mentioned that post preference will be exercised after tier1 during tier2/interview time
when i put this to ssc chief attention, he said it was amended through corrigendum.
now i put the link to corrigendum, you can check the corrigendum there is nothing in it regarding post preference. so help to resolve the injustice done by ssc by misleading aspirants.

@visitsameer bhai chief koi shenshah nahi hain. na hi dariyadil hain. bahut log twitter pe request kar chuke hain. woh apni mistake chupane ki try kar raha hain. kahta hain corrigendum me amend kar diya tha advertisement ki mistake. but u can check corrigendum
Section officers are entitled for a separate chamber. Assistants are provided a table for doing office work. IAS officers interact with assistants and even ministers interact with them. But this interaction may not be intimate one. Assistants are in gp 4600 and they are not peon. Aacording to our pm they are backbone of GoI. They are well respected in secretariat. Respect doesn't mean that the IAS officer will give him a standing ovation every time he enter the office. As far as the respect is concerned a clerk can be respected in his office more that the secretary of the ministry if his conduct is good. Any one who is thinking that css is a job without power will realise only after serving in other departments that who is actually powerful after 15 years of service. Please you all don't try to belittle any job and not try to exaggerate also. Reality is beyond aur imagination. We will come to know about the reality only after serving for some years.
CSS is indeed a job without power unless you become a DS or above which would become even more difficult for UR guys as reservations in promotions are round the corner..... there is no question of exaggerating..... facts are facts.... an ITO or a DSp of cbi has much more powers than even an under secretary, let alone a section officer..... even a excise inspector has more power than a section officer..... now even a DS doesn't have decision making powers which he earlier used to have..... and union ministers have DS and above level officers as their OSD and PS so one can infer whether they interact with assistants or not .... even my first pref. is CSS simply because i can't leave delhi.... and it's the only benefit that CSS offers apart from being the post that cdts scoring lower marks can hope for :)
@cglcglcgl@ssc_cracker2012@visitsameeryes! i have also been thinking on this. something must be done. i have checked the corrigendum again and again but found nothing about this. it is clear that final pref will be taken after tier2, we should unite and take this matter forward
@visitsameer@ssc_cracker2012@BJ00making a petition of 3000 students is not feasible as BJ00 said, we will not be able to contact even 1000 as many would not be active on fb and pg etc. There has definitely been a goof up somewhere regarding the corrigendum, SSC chief is sure that the issue was addressed in corrigendum and he has replied to someone about it. But it is NOT addressed. I also tweeted and got no reply from him. i think he would presume that we did not read corrigendum so ignored our msg. seeing from his general character i think he wanted to put this in corrigendum but there was some clerical error and it got left out. I think once he realises that he will himself be more concerned about it. So we should all point it out to him on twitter as well as by fax. i appeal to all to do the same while exercising restraint. dont accuse him, he is one of the best beaurocrats i have seen in the government. interacting with candidates and even responding at nights. Plainly state the facts about the mention in notice about pref after tier2 and the corrigendum which has no change wrt it. If a large number of people bring it to his notice then he will check corrigendum himself and realise that a mistake has been made. if that does not work then we can think of some other way. some also tag suzu12345 and secretworld about this.
