CGL 2012 Tier 2 Preparations and Results

i dnt knw how logical/illogical my doubts are...but m absolutely clueless...like so many others...
1.why r ppl so keen on getting auditor profile, inspite of the pay being less than intrvw posts...is it mainly dose who r targeting civils nd need more tym for study?
2.which one is better...TA or auditor??
3.i did not fill non-intrw posts in my aplictn but my name is there in NIP list...if i screw the intrw/dnt giv it will i b cnsdrd for NIP...(did not undrstnd the clause "Inclusion of any candidate in any of the list of the post for which he/she has not opted will not confer any right on his/her consideration for any post for which he/she had not exercised option")...mtlb agr NIP form mein fill nai kia toh ab usme koi chance nahi hai??
4.wat r those ppl suppose to do whose name appears in NIP list nd no cpt/dest is
reqd....simply get their documents verified, clear dest nd w8 for the final results???
5.i belong to a small town nd my exam centre ws delhi...so now i need to go delhi thrice....one for cpt,two for dest+docs verification, three for the intrvw??
6.my frst pref is css (filled it without knwng wat,how,why)...if i skip cpt,i'l be cnsidered for my next prefrd option?
7.dest is reqd nly for TA or all NIPs??can i afford to skip it???
too many questions but i wud be really glad if smbdy cud b kind enuf to ans dem....
TIA...

@secretworld i guess my ques is similar...
qualified for NIP and TA..score around 320-330..
my order of preference is Auditor, JA, TA..
i wanted to work only in Tamilnadu or Andhra pradesh..but i opted for all states thinking one should select all states acc to their preference..
now if i get any NIP in any state other than TN or AP..and TA in TN or AP...
can i take TA?
no post would be preferred than state so if you get the preferred post in other state u wud be alloted that n not that in ur state

can we change after the appointments?

Need one information bhai logo.. Does anyone has any idea about DEST. Whether we can use the backspace or not. I mean if i have made any mistake while writing can i erase it and type it again or will be considered as an error? Please reply...

I would like to contribute to the point no.3 mentioned by u above.
It clearly shows that a person who has not filled in the NIP in the application form itself ,is not eligible for the NIP . If a candidate has filled only interview post and no NIP , and if he fails to get any of the interview post, then he will not be considered for the NIP.
Now the most absurd thing that comes into the picture is that ,if such was the clause to be implemented, then why the hell did they included the names (in NIP shortlisted list also) ,of those candidates who opted only for interview posts....agr NIP ke liye unhe eligible karna hi nhi, then why to include their name in NIP list....

@secretworld
i mean can we change the place after appointments..like transfer??

can anybody give the link for the tier 2 write up please?

in CAG yes there are mutual transfers after 1 year
@pagalladki work pressure does not depend on the post only. tha depends on which kind of work u r alloted. along with this ur immediate officer. I am Inspector (CE) and posted in range which is supposed to be a high work pressure posting but I get a lot of time for my studies as I have good understanding with my superintendent, while so many friends of mine who r auditor accountant & Inspector also, who dont have so good rapo with their officers they dont get time. This is my second Job & I have felt in both that your relation with ur officer matters a lot If u want to get time for ur studies.
@abhijohn4u

yes u can ,if u clear the DEST
@ashoo456 plz compare between iti and css posts! plz elaborate

plz compare b/w iti and css! elaborate

Well I have read enough of points made by different candidates... And I am satisfied that Assistant in CSS may be one of the best posts considering promotion prospects and reputation. .
.
.
But I have a different query.....
.
.
Many of us, if not all, want to prepare for Civil Services... Considering this in mind, I want you all to suggest the best option for those who wish to prepare further, for UPSC. As it is very clear, in that case focus is not on promotion prospects and reputation, but more on ease of work, free time and to some extent the salary that you get.
.
.
Considering that I was told that CAG Auditor offers best opportunity to devote maximum time to studies. I have personally met those who are working as Auditors and said that in the first 2 years they had to do nothing significant. On busiest day, they had to work for 2 hours. They even carried one or two books to the office and studied their as if they were in a library.(Well I was surprised).
.
.
Salary is also no more an issue as Auditors are now in Pay Band 2 (9300-34800) with 4200 Grade Pay(to be implemented this year). So an Auditor will draw a salary of 28000 in hand in cities like Delhi.
.
.
Honestly speaking, I am now convinced that its one of those jobs which gives best opportunity to prepare for other competitive exams. Some may argue that ITI, Excise are far better. But friends, the work pressure their is higher. Comparing the salary now, we don't find much difference now. Isn't it?
.
Remember, I am not saying Auditor is the best career option. I believe it suits best for those who have to prepare for UPSC etc. Because then time and peace of mind is most vital.
.
.
.
I have been called for interview but I am opting for CAG auditor at Delhi. I am expecting 385-390 in Tier 1+ 2. But I don't want other stressful jobs in other states as it will be easiest to prepare for UPSC at Delhi. Do you believe that I should skip interview or is it must to appear. Then I will have to ensure that I do not get more than 20-30 marks, so that I may not get a higher pay scale job. Unfortunately, all jobs with GP 4200 and 4600 are higher in my preference list.
If I could not make it to the UPSC, I will go for ITI after 2-3 years because then I will take it as my career option. But not now.Time factor compels me to do so.
.
.
.
Express your thoughts freely.Come on!!!!!!!
.
.
Those working as auditors may also share their opinion.
Comments awaited.

hhhhhhh
