all those who have placed stats inv as their option will have interview with stats guys only irrespective of whether u have filled in other ministries or not. same prob is with me. but since they had to conduct only one interview for both , they hv placed us in stats inv option , because the interview panel will be accordingly, n will be equipped to test our knowledge of stats n other general topics as well.. thats my understanding.

Bro, you must take me for a fool.. I only posted my previous post because I was one of the many from NER who gave our COMPUTER PROFICIENCY TESTS on the 24th of November; and yes, one of the many who qualified only for Non Interview posts but got a call letter for CPT and NOT, i repeat, NOT for DEST! The words "Computer Proficiency Test for Assistant in CSS" were written lucidly on top of our admit cards, and the admit card came with detailed intructions for CPT. And if you still have any doubts, we did give our CPT; exercises on typing, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint.

Hi frnds, I want a little info regarding cbec.
If a person joins cbdt as TA, his career will be like TA-->STA-->ITI-->ITO and so on.... Similarly, If a person joins cbec as TA, what will be his career???? I want to know his future department i.e., excise inspector, preventive, examiner., since, cbec is a multi-functional dept. unlike cbdt. Please help me... thanq

1-Passport size photo will do. I have submitted same in CPT in central region.
2- yes. Visit your regional SSC website and read whole instruction.
