@cs_fourier that's why out of 15.5 lakh only 9.3 lakh apperd for written test. And top marks holder never join FCI ,they just waste other less fortunate candidate'schances.
puys is it necessary to get forms attested by gazetted officer ? i cant find any1 in gurgaon as such , sbi bank manager wud work ?? i have all d originals along wid me .
Depends on person to person. Some prefer IT and some prefer EXCISE. some also go for assistant CSS. See every post in ssc cgl is good except ins. of posts . If you are a beginer than go through the previous pages of this thread you will get fair amount of idea about what to styd.
I am really sad to read that Inspector of Posts is looked down upon by SSC aspirants. I am likely to get this post this year. Can anybody take pain to explain me why is it so UNWORTHY??

Is it not a feeling of pride to visit post offices and inspect them I find it more interesting than sitting in office and looking through files throughout the day.
As a matter of fact, I would like to draw your attention to two imp developments:
1. CAT Ernakulam has given decision in the favour of the Inspector of Posts, and now they will get Grade pay of 4600.
2. Inspectors also get 10% commission on the postal life insurance taken by customers(Apart from this, They also get annual bonus every year).
So now you all should reconsider before making such sweeping remarks.
I have one doubt which I would like to clear:
I have heard that Central Govt. employees work for 5 days a week(means Sat, Sun off).
But Post Offices open on Saturday also. So does it mean that Inspector of Posts need to work for 6 days a week. Those having some idea on the issue.............kindly share it here.....

yes the attestation form needs to be attested by gazetted officer.
the certificates copies u can self attest it. no, sbi bank manager n 4 tht matter no person of any bank is gazetted officer to sign on central govt. organizations papers as these are public sector and not central govt istitutions
