@nehasharma89 An IRs officer is promoted to JOint comm.. not an ITI inspector.. he will retire at commissioner and in some case Ass comm... CSS u may go to Joint secretary. i dont know about deputy director or director.. but i think this is the only exam from where u cn get to CSS. upsc civil service has no entry in CSS.
@sk.jadon sir ji after sectional officer then next promotion is under secretary only. if we see the dept structure 1462 Under secretary are there in CSS and 3018 sectional officer matlab 2 mein sae 1 under secretary jayaega hi jayaega..
waisae i dont even know a single person who has become sectional officer in CSS. only one i know who has joined as assistant last year.. he said so and was very much sure after some dept enquiry..

@rattle 6 lac package in mnc= 35 k per month in hand + haraamkhori..... kyunki yahan haraamkhori free milti hai..dats y dey leave... extra income is nill...PO me kuchh scope hai 5-7 k per month but forget abot excise...
guys can you re-register for CGL if you want to change pref? I have not paid fees yet and I want to change my pref. Will it result in cancellation of my candidature?
@Shrik33 : as far as i know once you have been alloted a registration id, u cant re register. dats y while filling the form online the server prompts you to check your details carefully and proceed only if you are satisfied with your details and options excercised.

@Shrik33 It's mentioned in the notification that one can apply as many times as he wishes but only the *last* application submitted would be considered. So you can go on and apply a fresh application, no harm absolutely!

i m working as jee in irrigation dept earning around 40 k n that too in up ...........taken for granted what u said it is better to forget po / excise n be were i m
