Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from ICFAI_Hyderabad

hello guys

back to the validity of the course from iCFAI (ms finance)

we have been hearing that the MS degree
is not recognised... since it does not come from
a university recognised in India....

don't consider the charter at this time...

Consider that u have a masters degree with u like MS in Finance
after gruelling for 2 years .... and it is not valid....

Now what????

babu and tumtum do u have any valid references
that disprove this statement ... this would be a real
help from ur side dudes...

visions

The university grants commission has included the Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst of India (ICFAI) in the list of universities maintained by University grant commission.

http://www.ugc.ac.in/inside/univmore.php?id=343

This is the reason ICFAI is allowed to confer degrees at bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. If ICFAI was not the university, then it can not grant MS Finance degree.

Cheers,
I forgot to add this point. Vision, This post should clear your myths regarding ICFAI education value abroad.

1)The Chartered Insurance Institute, UK: If you have done MS Insurance from ICFAI, you can appear for final exam papers and get Advanced Diploma in Insurance, (ACII) .The Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) is an internationally recognized advanced professional qualification for individuals working in insurance industry. The ACII qualification is administered and awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK.

2) Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK: ACCA is one of the leading and credible Accountancy bodies in the world and has a standing of over 100 years. If somebody have completed MS accounting from ICFAI, students will get exemptions and will appear for few papers to earn ACCA.

3) Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA): Directly appear for CIIA final exam after passing CFA ICFAI 😃

hi dear,
first of all congrats on completing ur graduation.
now regarding the reputation of CFA course, i dont have to speak much about it as this course speaks for itself.
Still i would quote here that this is a wonderful course if you are considering finance as ur specilization area. it gives you the indepth knowledge about the subject.
dont get discouraged by the comment of the people whi knows nothing about it as they would definitely try to defame this, but rather ask the opinion of the people who are pursuing this course. i'm doing this courrse and is perfectly satisfied by this course.
regarding job prospects and other quires u can read the previous posts as there u can get the full explanation of your queries.
If u want to know anything else, just shoot here.
wishes

UPDATE

Hi guys,

Just an update from my side regarding Economic Legislation II (Paper 12-Gamma)

If somebody have done Income tax in B.com, it should not be difficult at all. There are around 440 approx questions in workbook (total) and the biggest chapter is Income Tax Act, 1961. Quickly study the chapter, attempt questions immediately. I attempted practical questions first and most of the basic concepts (Theory) are based on practical questions. You have to be selective in studying, otherwise you will be lost in the ocean of tax laws.

Other chapters like Wealth tax, central excise act , central sales tax act and the Customs act are filled with all the laws. Again be selective and try to figure out what kind (format) of questions come in exam using Workbook , papers. You should be thorough with all the practicals as well the relevant laws pertaining to those practicals questions.

I completed whole paper in about 20 hours (spread over 5 days ). Lot of revision is needed as you are bound to forget the laws. So 20-25 hours is good enough to become proficient in this paper.

Warm Regards,

Diploma in business finance will be very helpful in getting a banking job. Companies recognise DBF. Read this:

It has specifically ask for CFA/DBF.
