I am presently in CTS. I joined CTS about 1 year back. Neither I nor any of my other friends were required to go through any medical test.

As I said, I am not sure of how it is since 2007!! So then its scrapped!

i have been on bench for more then 3 months now!!..tho it gave sum tym for me to prepare for gd/pi for sum of the b sckool calls that i have got this yea ,but am now scared wether i will get the project now..kindly tell me..does cts remove people who have been on bench for so long??..please

You'll be a PT or PAT depending on your educational background. After your confirmation which usually takes a year you'll become a Programmer/ Programmer analyst. The later stages to it depends on in what way you want to grow and how you perform

These factors depends on the means by which you got placed and your educational background. Usually the training for freshers IF you are placed through a on-campus placement procedure includes 2 days orientation then 12 weeks training followed by 2 weeks MFRP session (my first real project) then you'll be assigned to a project though your designation will still continue to be PAT/PT for a year (around 38 more weeks) until you get your confirmation.

It depends on the appraisal rating you get at the end of 2012 . If you get EA - first rating , you will be promoted in April 2013

yes. And also your promotion depends on your performance, the project you are put in.
what happens if your performance is minimal?..thot they havnt tested me or sumthng..but really am not gnna stay here for long...will take up any b school next year fr sure...i dont mind if they give me bench for next 7 months too!,..:P...as long as they are payin me..i know its a very immature post..but really !..coding on mainframe was never my cup of tea
...also is ther any sligtest of chance to get shifted to buisness aanalysis part of the company??..or sumthng related to actual banking and finance and not this coding!!......as my domain is BFS ...!kindly suggest..will take up any company exam level 1 or level 2 if its possible!!

In BFS we have LO,L1,L2 certified ccp or dovetails..or wtever you call them!..:P...yaar tell me....its so boring here in CTS banglore....and with this kind of work exp ..i wont be able to convince the interview panel of any good bschool!..have already faced rejections frm xlri,iift,nmims in my previous attempts!
...have done nnothing in these 8 months!...shud i continue like this ...coz am not able to fully concentrate on prep as my non performance in work is alwys ther on the back of my mind!...tell me dude...any suggestions?

You maybe pushed to bench or maybe given lowest bucket. That is all is usually done if your performance is minimal. But it may affect your growth. But if you are not ready to stay in the company for long then why feel bad?
If you perform extremely well and wait for minimum 3 years with part time mba offered in CTS you can shift to business analyst designation.
