Am feeling bad because the work exp part of my resume is getting affected!....wtll..tho i may still get into any good b school anyhow by scoring high in written and all..but it wud be a problm there during placemnts..when companies will go thru my overall profile!...am trying for sum fiannce companies or bank po jobs atleast ..lets see..and yes am one of those finance freaks whos fascinated by the jobs of invesntmnt banking and alikes!

Any work exp less than 2 yrs is usually does not give you any advantage and any work exp less than a yr is not considered (ie you are still called a fresher even if you have 11 months and 29 days work exp). Moreover working in CTS will not affect your profile. This is my personal experience.

It depends on the performance and skill set a person possesses.. I would say at least 2 years is needed for the shift . I know few people changing tracks but it generally happens after 1.5 - 2 years

The career switch happens only after 4-5 years for Business side role .. So when you reach that work ex , tell your manager that you are interested in Business side role .. they would give you based on your skill and requirement .. its kinda 50-50 chance .. Not many get it .. But then worth a try

my requirement in the present project was to develop an internal application for the project (i am not billable) , and my requiremnt is over , and my manger said I can start loooking for another projects , but when I asked him about release , he was saying he cannot put me into GWFM without proper reason ... does that mean I have to be in this proj till my allotment date is over ( which is till the end of this year) without any work ?
anyone heard about such weird situations ?

If you are not billable , You have all rights to ask release to your manager .
Schedule an one on one meeting and raise your concern to him

To be honest , very bleak .. but have a talk with your supervisor and then manager .. Explain the need for change ..

Sick leave can be opted for under extreme cases .. Just speak with HCM supervisor and manager ..

in case of notice period at CTS, if we have to take leave under unavoidable circumstances and that too more than available balance, what happens?
@naga25french for the 2012 batch which CTS has recruited why they are giving joining dates in ITIS more compared to IT (Actually no one was called for IT FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS)..Does CTS do not have projects ?? is ITIS experience is looked down up during MBA??

To be honest , even getting that ITIS is tough at the present scenario .. Any work ex will matter in MBA .ITIS/IT doesnt matter if you are less experienced. Main point is how you project that work ex in all your interviews .
@naga25french Actually i have been called for a discussion on ITIS this week.Should I ACCEPT it ....I have done my B.tech from NIT (chemical engg)....Some people have deferred ITIS for IT joining.Will they get IT joining in the coming months(so far no one got )??
