Is there way to get my money back ? I paid for the interview experience not for your blind love for girls. I even paid 100rs extra as the deadline was over considering I would get an interview experience even I won't make it.

My cat percentile is 97.22 And for DFS ADCOM My 97.22 percentile = 90 percentile of a Male Non Engineer = 83 percentile of a Female Non Engineer. From which angle is this JUSTIFIABLE? Adcom please contact to the admission office and try to find the explanation. Also all the aspirants who are facing this discrimination should mail them at [email protected]. time for some calculation: IN CAT 2019 : 120MARKS GAVE APPROX 95 PERCENTILE WHILE 150MARKS GAVE 98.5
if raw scores are taken then: (120/300)*70=28 (150/300)*70=35
SO THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 95 AND 98.5 PERCENTILER IS 7 MARKS
if percentile is taken: 95*0.7=66.5 98.5*0.7=68.95
SO THE DIFFERENCE NOW IS 2.45 MARKS ONLY.
P.S. 10 FREE MARKS TO FEMALE NON ENGG. WILL OBVIOUSLY SECURE THEIR CALLS IN BOTH THE CASES AS YOU CAN SEE

I think we need to take collective action and Mail the admissions office of the dfs regarding the fatal flaw they have in the admission process and urge them to do neccesary changes to make the process a fair one for all.
The best of four marks for 12th must compulsorily include Maths and English subject. Right?? I was trying to calculate my CS and couldn't remember exactly. But I guess at the time of form filling this is was criteria

It is mentioned in notification that for final selection cat scores are used (Refer the screenshot). The combined weightage for diversity and female candidature was 5%, how come it is changed to 10%?
We are not against the diversity weightage, but it should be 5% as mentioned earlier in the notification, making it 10% is totally unfair for Male Engineers.
If you guys scrapped GD & PI, ideally you should allocate that weightage to CAT or Acads like other colleges.
We know this decision is not in your scope, but you guys work closely with Admission office so please convey the concerns and come with some better solution.

Where can I get the shortlist and the categorywise cutoffs ? Can anyone help?
There was a post by adcom which has since been deleted stating that it took 3-4 weeks for them to get approval for this criteria. While I can understand given the situation, I don't understand the logic here. Why they couldn't use the earlier "final admission criteria" and just give 0 to everyone in the gd/pi weightage!!!! At least we could have dealt with 5% diversity score. This criteria is just dumb and foolish on their part. First they couldn't publish the shortlist, making us wait since holi, well before COVID-19. Now they used a criteria,which is utterly discriminatory, when they already had a readymade criteria available with them and making excuses like it takes 3-4 months for approval. Lekin ab kiya v kuchh nhi sakta, except writing posts like these. So good luck to everyone who gets selected.

The criteria decided on calculating composite score to prepare the merit list was already there in our the online application portal and sharing with you the screenshot of the same below:
We have not changed any criteria related to the percentile of CAT and weightage to the diversity parameters.

Guys this is the response they are giving but I have followed up with the reasoning that it was for initial shortlist of 1000 people and not final shortlist of 60 people and a GEM with a 100 percentile would get maximum 90 and would never be able to acquire a seat. Kindly you all do the same as well and let's see if it makes any difference.

I guess many of us have already mailed them regarding revision of criteria and they are not considering this.
What we can do as of now is to simply mail them again, with some basic calculations as mentioned by @Pablo_Escobar in one of his post.
It can only give them a better idea to understand that using CAT percentile instead of CAT Score will make only a little difference between a 90 (around 105 marks)and 99 (around 158 marks) percentile.
Also, going with such diversity, it is almost impossible for a General Male to get in, GEM are too far away.
Not taking CAT cutoff will give an unfair advantage to those having less score as compared to the high scorers.
I request everyone to send them a mail again, if you really wish to work hard for your Application fees.

Can anyone please tell me how is it my fault that I am General or a male, these things were not in my hands when I was born. After 12th I took Engineering because I was good at maths and computer science but during engineering I realized that MBA is my calling so I worked hard and got 97 percentile in CAT to secure my admission in a good college. Can anyone please tell how is it my fault for being a engineer or a general or a male?
Guys dont ask for application refunds actually. I just realized that GEMs will still make it, gen girls with 80/85/90 and all wouldn't have applied thinking criteria will be the same as last year, they still need to choose from the current applicant pool who applied, most people above 97 would only apply. And any girl above 97 will anyway make it to old IIMs leaving DFS for majority GEMs. Think. And dont lose hope, wherever you guys finally make it, you'll outperform everyone since they had way better odds at the time of admission, it'll workout in placements. PS : And if it still doesnt workout, burn the damn building my GEMs. :P
