@MaruthiS A person with 89% in Xth will be given 8.9/2=4.45 out of 5

In short  : as per actual marks or as per brackets for calculating CS.

Confirm please?

We have already shown our unity, let's do it once more!

People who are satisfied with this new criteria, please drop a mail to   [email protected] , stating that this criteria is better in terms of all parameters.

It gives necessary weightage to all students and is suitable enough to allow better pool of students to get selected.

Can anyone please give link to wha tsapp group?

Adcom I appreciate your efforts for revising the criteria. The criteria seems satisfactory for all the candidates who have applied. But looking it from another angle this is so dissppointing that many students have not filled the form because of the earlier criteria which clearly mentions that there is a sectional cutt off of 70 percentile. After geeting 95.66 percentile in CAT I lost a very good option because of the earlier stated criteria. This was something never expected from such a reputed university.

Any predictions on General cutoff ??

Since I have around 89 % in both 10 12 it is important to know whether weightage to 10 12 marks is based on slabs of percentages secured or taking the exact percentage? A slab of 85-90 will put some in a bad spot like me.Please clear this part. Thanks

I request you all please do not ask dfs to change the selection criteria again.. This one is fair enough... Don't tell them to add more things... Because zyada gharo ka mehmaan bhookha hi reh jaata h... Just mail them that we are grateful to them and this revised criteria should be used to calculate composite score...

Polls for getting cs cutoff insight for General only. Taking a reference of cs as 36.5 (Rationale being 130 in cat or 95 percentile gives around 25 points+ 9(avg) for 10,12+ 2.5 marks for any one diversity criteria)

  • CS>=36.5
  • CS<36.5

With new criteria,

- slightly higher weightage to CAT

- slightly lower weightage to Diversities

- slightly lower weightage to 10th/12th

The biggest change is use of CAT score and not percentile.

- This will ensure sanity in selections.

Most likely, this grading  system will be used

Does anyone remember...12th ke best of 4 me English and Maths must included subjects the kya??? TIA

Only EWS Candidates please CS (Scaled out of 100) as per new criteria

Any rough idea on total number of lists released and waitlist movement ??

I have a small request regarding the changed criteria and that is to kindly avoid using slabs for giving score to 10th/12th percentage. Instead the respective percentage should simply be multiplied by the given weightage. I have 9.4 CGPA in 10th. But the conversion formula uses multiplying by 9.5 instead of 10, so it translated into 89.33℅ So multiplying by weigthage I should get 4.466 score but now due to slabs will lose whole one mark and get only 4. I am sure there are many who would be stuck at the lowest end of different slabs and using this system would be unfair to many. I have mailed them about the same. Please do the same if you're facing the same issue @MaruthiS

Is the batch size going to increase this year??
