I have Manhattan SC but my accuracy hasn't improved much and i found a lot of things confusing. I'm planning to buy SC Grail 3rd edition which was launched recently. Can somebody share feedback about the book ? It looks quite promising but just want to be sure before I purchase.
I was using the 2nd edition. Overall the 2nd edition was good but didn't cover the advanced concepts that much. The 3rd edition looks very good and exactly what i need at this point as I have my GMAT scheduled in end Nov and i am really waiting to get my hands on it to nail SC. Haven't received the book yet so can't give you the feedback now. Maybe from a fortnight from now, I'll be able to write a review but that will be late for you I guess

The SC Grail 3rd edition is available in the hardcopy only and has just released so don't have the soft copy. Better order it yourself as they will start shipping the books to India from tomorrow so you may get it soon.
The 3rd edition looks pretty awesome. I had used it's second edition and it was good but the 3rd edition looks way good .

Okay. I used the book the 3rd edition during my prep and now the GMAT journey is over and i have some time to breath, here's my opinion(or call it review or whatever) FWIW!
What you will like about the 3rd edition
1. Very systematic and comprehensive book. The book is divided into 5 parts and doesn't directly jump into error types. Starts with grammar, moves on to SC error types, then switches gear to practice etc. Each part in the book builds on the last one and you enter the next part feeling more confident. There is also a chapter on "meaning" type of questions so the book covers almost everything i can think of.
2. Written in a lucid way. It feels like someone is explaining to you.
3. It comes with 125 practice questions. It has a lot of those fully underlined type of questions that are difficult to attempt on the GMAT.
4. It gives the question numbers in OG at places in which a particular sub-concept is discussed.
5. The Quick Recall section at the end of the book was one of my favorites. I referred to it for my revision.
What you will not like about the book
1. It doesn't come with any practice tests so if you're looking at getting access to 6 CATs, this is not the book.
2. A few more things could have been added to the Quick Recall thing at the end. I had to make my own notes for the points that were not summarized so it'd have been better if those things would have been there in the summary.
Overall the book rocks I think and is much better than Manhattan SC. Highly recommended!

Hi Anybody has a soft copy of SC Grail 3rd edition .I also found Manhattan SC a bit too unorganized for a novice like me..Need to get my basics correct before I go any furthur.
