Gate 2014 simple analysis :- a person with 50 marks with topper avg: 75 session avg 25 will get the same marks as a person with 60 marks topper avg 85 session avg 35 ...so it just depends where u lie in the session...as in ur rank in session * 4 ...thats it considering all students were uniformly distributed....

ANALYSIS:-
1.Paper was very easy but a bit lengthy, no one can attempt all 100 question in the given time.
2.one can easily get 50 odd marks in this paper.
SUBJECTS:-
DE- more than 15 question were asked focused on ADC and DAC specifically.
AE- apprx 14-15 question were there majority was OP-AMP(simple gain,frequency,Vout related qs.)
S&S;:10 qs(mainly discrete time domain,whether it is periodic or not type? )
EMFT- 2-3 question
EDC: 5-6 qs specifically IC fabrication
Progrmming: 3qs(VHDL) 3qs microP 1qs was "c" language
network: 8-10 basics,transients
I WILL TRY TO RECALL SOME QUESTIONS HERE ALSO....
MY EXPERIENCE:-
1. I ATTEMPTED 80 QS AND VERY SURE ABOUT THEM...
2. ONLY 2 QS WERE THERE FROM COMMUNICATION
