anyone who is coming to IIT Kanpur for photonics and aerospace departments ? I heard that for photonics ,if you are in top 5 in written test then you are directly admitted.no interview.
For aerospace, there is only written test it seems ! as seats vary between 40-45 i think merit list will be prepared from written test nd gate score .

Does anybody know that whether for dual degree(mtech phd) of IITB shortlisting is done separately or mtech selected students after 1 year opt for dual degree......becoz in the form they had asked for it.how was it done last yr???😠

gate score weightage->50% for Insti RAs and 75% for project RAs.. That is very high!!! :(
