rusty_mechs SaysAvinash, I was going through the previous year's thread some days ago and if I am not mistaken, you spoke only twice in the GD, once during the opening statement and once at the end and that you did not speak even once in between (though I think you did very well in PI). Can you tell us how much weightage does GD and PI have seperately. Does the PI carry more weightage in your opinion?
The separate weightage for GD and PI is not declared. But both are very important.
But PI is one step where in you get ample oppurtunity to make your mark and impress the Panel.
So suggest you to work on both. All the best.

1. A word of motivation for those who have just cleared the cut offs --> Last year when i had scored 77 percentile and came to know later on that this was the cut off, i was really tensed about my chances of getting through.
2. But honestly speaking once your name has appeared in that list everyone is almost on the same page.
3. Now the important factors would mostly be based on your acads, work ex(GIM has a good mix of fresher and work ex candidates) and above all your performance in GD PI.

no i am not goan sir....i m from punjab.....50% is too much..anwz i do hav a certi from himachal pradesh gov. in mountaineering.....and a silver certificate in cyber olympiad....but do thy count this much.....n btw i feel GIM gave calls purly on the basis of XAT score...isnt it??

GIM believes in diversity of talent. To encourage candidates with proven and recognized talent in Sports/ various Arts, the selection process will factor in these achievements in short listing the candidate for face to face evaluation process by lowering the qualifying cut off XAT score. Final selection will be entirely on scores on various evaluation components.
