GIM believes in diversity of talent. To encourage candidates with proven and recognized talent in Sports/ various Arts, the selection process will factor in these achievements in short listing the candidate for face to face evaluation process by lowering the qualifying cut off XAT score. Final selection will be entirely on scores on various evaluation components.

btw i had got this certi in my school in 12th std....n nvr thought i cud get a call beacuse of this,
i hav work x of 27 months with wipro..n decent scores in 10 12 n D in enggneerin....can i expect a miracle in 2012 ???....lets see i wil be least tensd for my PI since i hav nothing to lose....:P

I also have a Rock Climbing certificate from the Gujarat Government. But I did not mention it in the application as i thought it might not be considered. Can seniors lease tell me if mentioning this specifically in GDPI process will be of any advantage. Or shall try to get it updated in the application itself by mailing GIM?

I dont think you can update now. Surely you can tell during the process. Anything you have achieved can be used strategically by you.
Mention it in the GDPI if possible. It will surely help.

Can u please post the link to your GD/PI experience? It would be really helpful.
The separate weightage for GD and PI is not declared. But both are very important.
But PI is one step where in you get ample oppurtunity to make your mark and impress the Panel.
So suggest you to work on both. All the best.
P.S : I did have a very good PI.

We have a CHOIR Group here. There are various classes and practise going on. Will ask more details from CHOIR people and would put it here.
CSR is mandatory for all. We have CSR on every thursdays. We have divided into groups. And we have to do some or the other activity.
We will share other details later on.
