GMAT aspirants at Hyderabad - Study Group

As a creator of the thread http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/gmat-2012-study-group-hyderabad-25075814 I also felt at loss when the moderator Neo closed the thread without proper reason and as per the celebrated *rulebook* the thread didn't violate any policy. But I guess, we have to live with the fact that most of the PG moderators are not professionals and..... well, don't bother.

Whoa there!! Rather than taking such an antagonistic attitude the easiest thing to do would have been to write on my wall or drop me a PM. I would have told you then that the only reason I directed you to the new thread is because your thread didnt seem to have any traction whereas the thread I pointed you to seems to have more traction. If you then believe that you still needed a separate thread, all you had to do was tell me why and I would have opened up your thread and closed this one.

You have done nothing of the sort. Instead you've actually made slanderous allegations. And you've made yourself out to be a victim when in fact you aren't one.

I believe most people in this section are professionals. Thus, I have expected you to think a little more calmly and act in a more appropriate manner rather than the melodramatics you have displayed.

Hi ,
First of all Welcome to Pagalguy .
....

Hi Suman,
How are you finding Princeton Madhapur center?? Any review plzzzz

Hey dude , I have just been to the introduction class . If you can wait for a week or two then i will surely give you a good feedback about Princeton . But up till now everything else is good and met some of the lectures and they are good too . At present i am pretty optimistic that it is good .

Thanks & Cheers

Dude u don't seem to read ur Wall, pls check ur Visitor messages where i posted my concerns at PaGaLGuY.com - The Everything of MBA in India and Abroad, CAT 2011, GMAT, XAT, MAT - View Profile: Neo2000

Yes, I want our thread back and why on earth you think to close either of the thread? Its a social media, so let the users decide which thread to keep alive

Instead you've actually made slanderous allegations. And you've made yourself out to be a victim when in fact you aren't one.

Since this is a MBA prep forum, don't u know the users/customers can never be "Victims", its always the service providers who get victimized. Market always has options!

yes they are (with significant work ex in most cases), so they might be tolerant with unprofessionalism, but showing attitudes after that, no way!

Remember - Ask First, React Next.

Egzactly! This is for u. BTW its waste of time for me, for u why bother moderation where its not really called for? Peace!

Hey Guys peace out pls!
@PaaglaDashu: I understand, forget ur thread, focus back on prep...

Lets get back on track everyone.. :)
So who all have started with their preps for the GMAT(before the pattern changes....)???
What are the problems faced so far?
and Who has started with what section?

thank you for the link

@Pagladashu,

I am done with MBA, now want to do FPM or PHd

applied for iimb fpm and ISB fpm, would like to know about other best institutes offering same in HR and marketing.

Would like to do my phd, and get into academics.

M'Lord, let the court note that I live in the US. despite that, I've replied in the middle of a work-day, and I've posted here only because there is no way to post on your wall. You've disabled it.

.
Yes, I want our thread back and why on earth you think to close either of the thread? Its a social media, so let the users decide which thread to keep alive.

Keeping alive and Keeping Open are essentially the same thing no? Isn't it then easier to direct newbies to a Single thread?

True. Yet your current status message and your post on my wall makes it sound like you are a victim of an arbitrary and unfair process.

Here we go again. You certainly are riled up about this. That still does not excuse the way you began your conversation. "Donno what your problem is..."?? Come on man, you aint a kid. If you cannot give me any respect, why should I give you any? I'm sure this isn't how you would tackle a problem in real life so why here? Because of the annonymity of the forum?
As for attitude, i'm the one patiently explaining to you why I did what. I haven't picked a fight nor questioned your professionalism nor called you names. You, on the other hand, have closed your eyes and ears to a healthy debate. Your continued rant of "unprofessionalism" is totally uncalled for.

Also, Mods on PG are volunteers. We don't work at PG. We don't get paid. Instead we give our time freely because many years ago, somebody helped us out and we are paying it forward.

As a Moderator I take care of the Entire section so I think of the greater good - Two threads open for the same location cause confusion and cross-posting. Both are things I'd like to avoid. I've been moderating for a long time so yes, I know this for a fact.

Peace!

Something we can both agree on :)

Please feel free to PM me any rebuttals as well as your thoughts on why your thread should be opened. You haven't provided any useful reason other than "let the market decide" Unfortunately the market only thinks about now while I'm thinking of time down the line when some newbie comes in and reads through the threads. It's easier for them to find information in one place rather than scattered in multiple threads. Dont you think so?

@Arpita & Vishwanath: Thanks people, I recede :)

Super-like
I'm sure many current PUYs will continue this trend in future!

@pbindu: AFAIK ISB FPM is now best in country, followed by IIM A/C/B/L in that order. For HR, XLRI is unquestionably best! XLRI/IIM I/MDI/IIT Madras(DOMS) also offers part time PhD/FPM (apart from their full time programs) once u gain some years(~5) of post-MBA experience. Due to my location advantage, I have been to ISB campus multiple times, they say cracking ISB FPM is quite difficult as compared to MBA, they expect some Research acumen as well! Good Luck!

I have gone thru some threads where people made equally bad comments about Princeton Review and Manhattan Review...But Still leaving all those comments I've decided to go for one of these 2 classes. IMS and TIME are not in my list now..

I am planning to join ******** in Ameerpet for GMAT. Does anyone have any reviews about the place as I'm not able to find much online?

Any help will be appreciated....

Thanks!

Hi All,

I have been going through all the post's for more than a hour and all i have learnt from the post is that either Princeton or Manhattan are good for coaching but none of the puys who have joined either of these have given any concrete feedback on these institutes.
Requesting all to please give their valuable feedback so that it becomes a little easier for others like me who have just moved to hyd to join an institute.

Thanks,
Ankur
