@vineeth_attoor hi..Iam vishal..i took my training earlier in princeton review and managed to secure 620 score..thought of giving another attempt to beat the beast..i have joined recently at crack isb for my GMAT...i am very much impressed with their teaching methods and techniques..faculty is outstanding even though they look younger than me...in fact it is the only institute in hyderabad supported by ISB alumini..i would recommend this for anyone.....but u know success banks primarily on our efforts and commitment towards preparation..ALL THE BEST..
I've just begun my GMAT prep by starting with the diagnostic test. I pretty much want to study on my own. Just need help with what material to use and at what stage of the prep. Could someone please give me a list of books I should definitely buy?
Hey guys...I am from Hyd too...had joined Manhattan, Madhapur for GMAT Coaching...I have problems with my math...takes me too long to finish a question..I am basically looking to improve my speed ....any tips anybody?
p.s - I know the most obvious solution is to practice as much as possible(which I totally intend to do)..looking for any other tips..Thanks!
@Holly18 - One good advice would be to learn Vedic maths. Also, try to do mental calculations more. Like, when you are in office or anywhere, try to do a 3 digit multiplication or division in your mind. This will eventually reduce the time you spend on Simple calculations.
@sne04 OG is a must for any GMAT taker - and if you do the OG very thoroughly, a good part of your prep is done! Next would come Kaplan material, especially if you are aiming for 700+. I took the Manhattan GMAT online test series package and I honestly don't know what I would have done without it. Apart from this, definitely the diagnostic test itself offered by GMAC. Ideally, take one test right away so you know where you are currently and accordingly, you can chalk out a schedule based on your weak areas. Oh, and also, don't put AWA prep off till the last minute. Keep reading good blogs for tips and on practice tests, don't skip the AWA section. It will help you get used to the long duration of the actual test. Hope this helped. All th best! Feel free to PM me if you would like any other info :)

@pavan.paone How is the coaching at Manhattan review. Is it worth it? I already took GMAT twice and score a 640 and then 650. So far I have not attended any coaching institutes, but would really like to check out the option as I want to badly increase my score above the 700 mark. For this I would need to improve a lot on my verbal score. So please tell how you are feeling on taking the Manhattan review coaching classes, particularly the verbal coaching.
hi harikrishna Manhattan review verbal coaching is good for a beginner.Manhattan review do not coach you deep verbal subject .My suggestion is go through online courses such as e-gmat,veritas,knewton ,MGMAT etc.
have you go through these sites gmatclub.com and beatthegmat.com if you do not these sites please go through them.
once visit e-gmat.com it offers online courses designed especially for non native speakers of english
hi harikrishna,i initially took training at Manhattan review, what mr.pavan said is right.Manhattan review doent get into in depth concepts IN VERBAL.i had spoken with couple of trainers there but my efforts went in vain.however math faculty was good at their himayathnagar branch where i took my training..if you r particular abt your verbal score i strongly suggest you to go to crack isb at kukatpally..i liked their approach and concepts alot because they completely redefined my verbal score in short time.you better practice high difficulty questions frequently and analyze your mistakes.Do not loose the hope and confidence.keep up your perseverance.all the best @harimk85
