Books - The OG would do!!! If u think u need additional practice, go for the OG Quant review. If u still need additional practice or u want tougher material - get the Kaplan 800 (i heard that the 2007 edition is available)
Methods - Hehhe!!! Practice, Prctice and more practice. Quant is a lot easier than verbal.
BTW - if u have appeared for CAT already (assuming that mean you have prepared for the same) GMAT Math must be quite easy :)
ATB!!!

Hi Ramaa,
The books which have been mentioned will give you everything to tackle GMAT Math. Compared to CAT, GMAT Math is a kid
My advice would be to start with Princeton 2006 (and Kaplan 2006 if u dont mind), then Kaplan 800 (which will elevate your skill level), shift to OG11 and end up with OG Quant Review. By then u shud have atleast solved 800+ Qs and u'd be ready. If u wanna keep it simple - OG11 and OG QR would do. 700Qs is Good enuf

sapnna Saysiam considering IMS for GMAT coaching...i have prepaired for CAT earlier but CAT was a torture for me..i specially suffered in the quant section..
I really dunno how fruitfull and effective will classes for GMAT prove for u ... i can presume CAT was a big torture for u cuz of the difficulty level of Quant section ... as Compared to GMAT the level of Quant is very easy and u wudnt find it a pain anymore ... as for Verbal ... i really dnt think there is any limit ... i guess Princeton would be good to begin with .. once ur thoroughly done with one ... then u can always think of doing more ... depending upon ur capacity 😃 ... all the best ... m planning to appear for GMAT too for the sep '07 session, but havent been successful in takin out time from my work schedule to start prep for it yet 😃
