the confusion lies between option A and option B.. I would have marked option B owing to the fact that I would wanna avoid passive sentence..

which here refers to "experience", this is incorrect. Also for option E, "we" at the end is unidiomatic.

Its from a Bell Curves mock test.

Somehow even I am not that convinced with E.

For your ref, I have posted the explanation comparing options A and E as given in the key.

Compare A to E.
The difference is whether the had + formed is necessary. The past perfect is used to clarify order when there are multiple past events, in this case there is only truly one event since "which caused him...to remove it" is part of a phrase that is not necessary to the sentence. The sentence can be said to be "the frost ... car formed when ..during the night."

Mate we are fighting to get the OA changed...but just to let you know , for sure D is not the answer as you are going passive by choosing D...
Had Been frosted ... BY WHAT????
Incomplete...

Need to have past perfect because frosting has to happen before it caused the subject to remove it ...hence necessity to form a sequence in the 2 past events....
For sure..Past perfect is required but not passive form....

Now OA was given E...but we think it should be A...

I guess that's becoz "which" is misplaced in option D... what is it referring to.. the job or the situation..??.. thats' where option C comes in handy and fits fine..
