Clear A because E uses they for CIA which is singular here. Moreover powers that they can is ambiguos. It should have been "powers enabling it to X" or "powers that allowed it to do X"

does the option E read as : E. attraction as it is more attractive to tourists than are the churchs stained-glass windows. ?? as gmat is not expected to provide such easily detectable errors.
In this case I'll go with E as in rest of the cases it is not clear to which 'its' refers to. 'floor' or the 'church'

A. attraction and is more attractive to tourists than are its ornate stained-glass windows. B. attraction, itself more attractive to tourists than are its ornate stained-glass windows. C. attraction, itself more attractive to tourists as are its ornate stained-glass windows. D. attraction, being more attractive to tourists than its ornate stained-glass windows. E. attraction as it more is attractive to tourists than are the church's stained-glass windows.
to me it's between A and B... others goes out b'coz of improper idiom usage and wrong comparision used.. in B, itself is clearly referring to the floor of the church but the 2nd it may not refer to the same, instead it should me referring to the church.. again in A, the last it used seem to be referring to the floor of the church....it would have been clear if the subject noun would have been church's floor.. I shall go with A.. what's other's views?

B is the best answer, itself = the floor of the church, the second part "its ornate windows" is parallel to "its greatest attraction"
which both refer to the church.
OA is indeed option B..
this one was really tough one I guess.. no one got it right on the forum..
