Guys,

I atook GMAT twice, with scores of 660 and 750 (6.0 on AWA twice). While researching the educational sector in Kolkata (especially for GRE and GMAT) I found that we lag WAY behind the other metros. As I have a fair bit of experience in both the exams (yes, I also took GRE back in 2004, scored 1510), I realized that self-study is the best approach for us. More so because all the players in/around Kolkata (mostly CAT-centric) are not up to the mark.

So I am aiming to start a GMAT study group in Kolkata. I have a decent bit of prep materials with me that I'll be happy to share with you. Also, discussing GMAT and GRE gives me gigantic kicks. Please let me know if anyone is interested.

PS: I'm not a spammer/belong to any coaching insti. Just a plain-Jane IIM who's in love with the thrills of GMAT.

Thanks,
Aritro

See deepak, the main purpose of starting a study centre is so that you on't need to go to any insti unless you ABSOLUTELY need it. Believe me, all the instis in Kolkata are sub-par.

For starters, go to the site Let's crack the exams, eh.....: The basics of prepping.......

Start off with the materials mentioned. For the time being they should serve you good. And you can obviously pm me if you need anything else.

Great going guys......+1..I too have planned for my first attemt around April and this thread seems appropriate to discuss the doubts. Congrats Aritro for shooting high scores in GMAT and taking the initiative...Any tips you want to share for the starters...
