GMAT takers from Chennai

Thanks for the advice Sriram.

Sriram,Guru,Rushi..

I'm pretty much new to this club as well as for GMAT prep. Planning to give a head start to GMAT now.

I'm not aware of this Kaplan's Premier program. If you have a soft copy can you please mail it?

I decided to focus initial days on grammar. I have begun reading "English grammar for the utterly confused " book and also have a soft copy of it. Though its not a standard one,I felt it to be bit interesting, I'll mail that if you are interested. If there are any standard ones please let me know.

Sriram.. I guess u r quite ahead in prep. Can you please share ur prep strategy? Coaching is not a MUST for me but felt it gives the necessary impetus. Anywayz will try self prep till Nov end and will decide on possibility of coaching.

Hi Vinod,
I have mailed you... Do chk your gmail...

Hey all,

hi Pravin,
I too reside in kodambakkam.... Can you please post your profile.... If you are attending CAT classes, you need not have to enroll yourself for GMAT classes.... As far as Quants is concerned, youu will find your CAT preparations to be much more sufficient for your GMAT. You will have to fine tune your preparations for Verbal....
Cheers,
Sriram

Why don't we guys have a quick meet up tomorrow or sometime this weekend??? Just to get to know each other and see how we can take our prep forward..I am sure there's a lot of gyaan to be shared. Afterall we need to eat like birds and poop like elephants!!
Cheers,
Kumar

Hi ,

I am working in TCS , Chennai for the last 2 years . I am planning to write GMAT in 2009 .

I have some queriesand hope you guys will help me out.

What is the best time to take GMAT and the time required for an adequate
amount of preparation ? Is crossing the 700 barrier a tough nut to crack ?

Has anybody got an idea of how good is the CL-Veritas material is for the preparation of GMAT.

A big Hi to all,
Sorry for not posting all these days.. I am being held up with my project work... I could not find much time to post the replies.
To Rag Ram,
You can find lot of GMAT materials on the net. You can download them. As you are new to GMAT preparations, you can buy Kaplan or Priceton Preview guides, which provides you with adequate information. This is just a suggestion. All the best for your preparations.
To LakshmiNarayanan,
Please go through the previous posts. I have listed some of the common books followed by GMAT test takers. All the Best
Hi Vikas,
The best time to take GMAT is atleast 3 months before your application process. You can refer any GMAT material, but see to that you cover OG in your GMAT preparation process. All the Best
Cheers,
Sriram
