Can someone please tell me wen will ISB R-2 admit take place.I'm planning to take GMAT by Oct.Can I meet the R-2 deadline for ISB?
Deepak,
ISB R2 is 1st December, 09. You can definitely meet the deadline.
Hello fellas,
I am working in Cognizant for the past 3 yrs as a Programmer Analyst:-(
Planning to give GMAT in a couple of months.
Planning to apply for Great lakes and ISB, SP.Jain.
US and UK are too expensive for me.
All the best.
Guys,
Has anyone bought OG 12?
How is it?
Is it worth buying?
Ruba,
I think you must also look into a few US programs, which offer scholarships and assistantships. If you get a competitive score, you will be able to minimize your expenses in these schools eg. Univ of Arizona, Wisconsin Madison etc. Also, things are pretty bad at SP Jain - my friend has just graduated and told me that hardly 10 students found jobs of their choice. Load of them jobless, lots coming back to India to work with their former employers.

thanks flagship..I will look into the options suggested by you.
I guess the situation this year is pretty bad everywhere.
Your thoughts on Great lakes instiute..I dont know anybody over there
Hi Flagship,
Congrats on a very good GMAT score.. Let me give u some background about me. I am a Chartered Accountant , Cost- Accountant with 4 yrs of Post qualification exp. I have a keen interest to pursue my MBA from Top 10 US - Schools ( definitely in Finance). I have recently moved to chennai from Hyderabad. I know that Chennai offers lot of options for gmat coaching. As you said I m the one of those guys who are aiming for atleast 700 in Gmat and can do whatever it takes for that... I will be applying for R2 to most of the colleges.
Now my doubt is, I have read a lot about 4Gmat, but most of them talk abt its Quant coaching , hardly seen anyone talking abt Verbal . I would say I am pretty good in Quant ( Last gmat i scored 48 in Quant and 32 in Verbal). So for me Its more on Verbal. As of now I m in paris and will come back to Chennai in next 15 days... I know its good to meet the profs and current students, but wanted to take your view on it as well.
Please advise if its a good option to join 4Gmat- Morning batch(6'30 - 9am) in their Mylapore branch( I stay in balaji ngr- Royapettah).
Looking fwd to your reply and if possible pm your phone number/email id so that I can get in touch with you once I'm back.
Thanks
Sudhir
When I did verbal, it was done by a corporate trainer at 4GMAT...she has been training students for these exams for several years now... very professional.. If your objective of joining a prep institute is to learn something new, then her verbal classes will definitely help you.
GLIM is just about OK.. not sure if its worth the investment though in this scenario (ISB grads are struggling!!!)

hello flagship. tks for ur reply. but still do i have to prepare for gmat/cat? else can i apply directly with my BE scores?

i've read a couple of review online... seems the only thing that's changed is the cover .. seriously though, the additional content in og 12 is negligible.. if you already have og 11, there's absolutely no need to get og 12.

@ ankur, i was merely trying to suggest that there's no need to fork out 1k for OG 12 if you already have a copy of OG 11.
to quote from one of the links that you have been so kind to provide
"If your exam is near, you might consider mining the 12th Edition for a few new problems. But your time may be better spent reviewing practice problems you have already encountered, as well as doing online practice with GMATFocus, or practice exams"
