I feel you are absoluetly right.. We need to keep reading soft copies as much as possible so tht we give enough practise to our corneas as to our brains.. 😁 Abt the quant weakness, tht is exactly wht i was gonna do.. start with basics and go on to practise questions and increase the difficulty level.. I too have the IMS material but its the correspondence course. anyways the material is almost completely same.. I am gonna start the OG just now and then after every topic will practise questions from the material.. Lets see how much i can study by tomorrow.. :)

I too am working in ITES company since 1 year 6 months. Have done my graduation in IT and looking for MBA in 2010 that is MBA class 2011.. As shubhendu has mentioned tht since the first deadline is oct/nov for the season starting may/jun 2010, i will give GMAT in Aug start.. Not gonna go for the second shot bcz i don think i can again sit for the exam.. So Aug is my deadline for the exam..

Regadring the books as much practise u do is good.. but everywhr the basic material remains same like the Oficial guides.. Most of us are doing the OG and then then Kaplans followed by Manhattan and other books.. It depends on you tht whichever book u wanna buy and the area in which u need more practise... For downloading the material, u can check esnips.com.. there u can sign in and download the material u want.. I am not sure whether they are new files or the old files only.. U have to check them.. Also u can sirf the other threads.. i m sure u will find the links to files.. 😃

Haven't taken a date yet ... Will prabably take it by the end of this month...

one suggestion before you people start OG10 ......do not start solving it blindly........................MANHATTAN SC explains 7 types of errors in SC. every chapter is explained in detail and then at the end of the chapter questions related to that chapter in OG10 are mentioned........so solve chapterwise .......AS instructed by MANHATTAN............'
let us start with 1 st chapter of MANHATTAN SC .......and solve related questions from OG10........i guess we shud better start new thread for this study group.......to discuss particular things ....................as we are starting from same level........so i think rather than being active on this thread...........we shud be active in discussing actual questions..........

u can download the free prep software from the mba.com site.. tht software has 2 free tests.. u can use them for checking ur stand.. 😃

I have the hard copies of the books u have mentioned hence i dint go searching for them online.. I also tried to find the soft copies after the other day u asked for them but couldnt find them.. As of now i just have the princeton manual in soft copy and tht too has a few pages missing at the end.. Do u want tht?

I work with an IT firm, a li'l over two years now. the first step that i'll be taking is writing a GMAT simulation test (sources: GMAT Prep Courses | ManhattanGMAT & www.mba.com, one has to register to access the tests)
any of us here, has any idea about how Wren & Martin can help?
to give time to this book can be a li'l dicey proposition if one is not aware what cahpetrs/portions one has to refer from this book.
there was thread at pg about a guy who scored an 800 on GMAT. he claimed to have studied/read wren & martin for over two months.. he also recommended redaing The Economist et al.

This sounds like a cool idea .. i jst got myself a new ID on the forum .. I m plannin to write my gmat asap .. maybe May ... the reason i prefixed a "maybe" is that working hours dont leave me with anytime to study .. hence i thought i wud join a study group here in mumbai ... i hope this helps ... anyone willing to take time off over the weekend and sit n study together? i guess it can help and also keep the motivation level high thru the prep ...
i have picked up manhattan notes for verbal n done with critical reasoning ... did some questions from OG10 and with practise i could get a hold of it ... the problem m facing bigtime is sentence correction ... its like a bottle neck for me ... i think i can crack other sections but wud need serious help n advice on this ... can u guys help?

As far as i knw its a grammar building book.. I used that in school and junior college.. 😃 It is no doubt a good book for verbal but i dont think depending just on tht is a wise decision.. and specially if u plan to give the gmat soon.. gmat verbal is not just abt building concepts.. though i feel its a good start.. 😃

Since u have the Manhattan notes, i think u will get thru with SC also.. Ofcourse we all will help as much as we can.. in case u have any specific queries u can put them down in the SC threads started for GMAT..
