guyssss....don't be so predictive about hal exam cut off and results as everything will be clear on 24 nov. Till then prepare for next exam......
Guys and gals,
Is there any chance of having a combined cutoff for GK -eng(Eg. 35/60).. i might just get abt 3 or 4 in GK (not sure.. I dont remember many of the questions and needless to say all my answers were guesses)😟😟😟😟😟😟😟
If they really wanted to test GK, then they could have put atleast 50 questions and then decide cutoff.. 20 seem less..and cutoff of 8 or 10 or 15 is wierd ?? btw, can anybody actually score 15 in GK?

Does the HAL result include section-wise marks / total marks or is it just the list of ppl qualified for the interview? guys,gals who attended the interview last yr pls do answer.

I thought that this "waiting-period" for the declaration of the results would not be so bothersome, provided i had done the exam quite well! But, damn man! Having completed the exam on the very first day, it has just been 6 days and am already going kinda crazy waiting! 😠
Well, assuming that the exams are conducted for 2 days for each branch- so far, we have heard from HR guys, Mech guys, Electrical guys, electronics Guys and CS guys! We still have 5 more days of tests to go (including today) and we have marketing, legal, architecture, civil, Aero and IMM exams left!
Or am i wrong?! Maybe there are a few more engineering disciplines left?
And are there are any legal/marketing/architecture guys who are active in this thread really? I have never seen any posts from them!
I am not even able to think of any other exams until i can see the results! Anyway, this was just a way of venting my frustration of "waiting" bhaailog! 😠😠😠😠
I can safely say anyone who is getting 100+ in mech should start packing for joining because written wtg is 85% so interview doesnt matter much...alsio cutoff wont go beyond 85+ in any case...

i messed up with my xam... concentrated only on Analog & Digital Electronics, Networks... couldn't solve basic questions from control systems, communications and signals... 😟😟😟
i was very excited to share my experience... but i can't even remember synonyms and antonyms asked in english section... i don't know if it is useful... some keywords of E & R section...

technical which i cud solve contained analog electronics(mainly coverd questns on diodes, amplifiers, opamp), digital electronics(simple questions on Karnaugh Maps,reducing to simple form, given function find minimum no. of gates needed), networks(very easy to solve just calculating I or V or R)...
now comes d "unmanageable" part for me.. only becauz of lack of preparation... control systems (gave a equation asked "type" and gave transfer function asked whether the system is underdamped or overdamped etc no questions from "any" plots), communications (gave standard equation of FM and asked frequency deviation), signals and systems (causal or not)... i felt like every subject had equal weightage... there were a gud no. of questions from electromagnetics and transmission lines(a nightmare to me😠😠😠) also...
My memory has "high time constant"... it takes time to remember and time to forget.. i wil add whenever i remember... 😉😉
P.S: i don't want to speak anything about GA...

Heloo friends . I have attempted ECE HAL MT 2013 on Nov 17th 12:30 PM - 03:00 PM... How did you feel the paper was ? I personally felt that there were 6-8 questions which have no answers .. Few questions dont have diagrams or data like : ->
1.) The minimum number of NAND gates required to realize
2.)Dual of AB + A'C
3.)O/p of a system for a given Transfer function with step i/p
4.)Solution of Differential equation
5.)O/p of a typical Op amp configuration
FYI : I have noticed that same questions appeared for my friend who appeared for 09:00 AM to 11:30 AM on that day
