ALWAYS..
no separate cutoff...
you need 24 out of 50 to pass the english section

log tabhi poochenge... ppl just can't grasp the concept of standard score..
keh rahe hain cutoff low jayga..arey bhai..standard score IS ALWAYS the same...
actual low jata hain

I found a pdf from IBPS website detailing the selection process for last year written exam of IT officer...hope it will be useful

I Process for Arriving at Standard Scores in Individual Tests

The Standard Scores are obtained by adopting the following procedure:
(i) Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is
considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong
answers.
(ii) The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care
of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, across the different sets of
objective tests to arrive at the Equated Scores*.
(iii) The Equated Scores so obtained are standardized** to arrive at Final Standard
Score with a minimum '0' and maximum '50' by following Linear
Transformation Method.

This procedure is followed for each of the tests.
* Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of
scores of all the forms.
** The equated scores in each test are scaled to Standardised Scores with Mean 25 and Standard Deviation 5

Note: Cutoffs were applied in two stages
(i) on standard scores in individual tests
(ii) on Total Weighted Standard Score

The details of the cutoffs applied on Standard Sores in individual tests and on Total
Weighted Standard Scores (TWSS) is given below at (II) & (IV) respectively.

all depends on ur accuracy level mate 😃 people cvan good marks merely doing 30 but 100% correct

but if u raccuarcy level is good then u r in safe zone for sure

wait a min? 48% doesnt mean 48 marks yaar..its not absolute..i am saying coz one of my friend said he less ques and got more marks in quant section last year.. so even sectional score are normalized..

Any one who applied for technical officer?how was the professional knowledge?i applied for electronics...but all questions were from mech...budgets etc....just attempted 23 questions :-(
did not have a clue of where some questions were from....
so anyone who wrote for technical officer...plz share ur views

ofcourse the sectional scores are NORMALIZED...100000 % ..where did I say the contrary..
arey bhai..ab jaise kisi ne maths mein 30 kiye ho toh uske utha kar 35 denge..
reasoning kiya ho 30 toh uske 43-44 bhi ho sakte hain

ok..i thought you are saying otherwise.. 😃 yes, exactly my point.. anyways, i dont wanna discuss the exam more.. jab tak result na aaye hum bas kayaas hi lagaate rahenge..mere speculations wont do us any good..

Wahi toh..

we shud discuss movies and other light stuff..also cool softwares.. and american TV Serials

aur haan SBI ko khoob gariyana chahiye....

halaki issi SBI ke clerk mein toh mera ho gaya..akhirkaar

This happened with me too but in IBPS clerical..In all the sections I got more than correct attempts..in some even more than the number of attempts..

ok..i didnt apply for po or ssc..and waise toh sbi so IT wale nahi de sakte the..i gave anyways..lets see
