Hello everyone....first of all congratulations to everyone for clearing the SO CWE exam....I have been also shortlisted for HR scale 1.....i dnt have much idea about the salary,promotion and about da transfers regarding da same....plzzzz if anyone hv idea about dis kindly guide me.....
I hv inquired with some of my frnds....they said tht if we hv got a good marks in written and our intrview also goes OK then there are perfect chances of the selection....clearing interview doesnt simply mean tht we will get a job...its bcoz when IBPS will ask for our preferences of banks we hv to put in all 20 PSB's in the order as per our wish....and aftr tht depending upon the no of vacancies of respective banks and also our rank, we will be fetched from top...i.e higher ranks first and then going down...and since it is expected tht vacancies will be same or may be less in no as compared to last yr therefore only those who will score a higher rank in-Toto will get a job while rest (of lower ranks) will be left waiting in vain for one yr and after completion of one yr the score card will become invalid...so we shud be careful while entering our list of preferences...dont consider which bank is good or bad coz each bank almost offers the same salary package...our top 7-8 banks should be those banks which have a good no of vacancies and also greater no of branches as compared to other banks....surf the net...get details about the banks and make your such a list handy...if you are frm north india then create a list of north indian banks bcoz there are very rare chances of a north-indian being posted to south india...and vice versa...
2011 specialist officer mein technical (electronics and communications) mein vacancies kitni thi....mujhe to lagta hai ki 100 bhi nhi hongi total..!Guys agar vacancies kam h to kisi aur jaga time lagana jyada better rahega..instead of preparing for interviews...IT officer me shayad jyada hoti h..but ece mein to haal bura lagta h
here is something i found in a site allinterview.com regarding the job role of an IT officer in Banks..
There are several works there in the Bank normally banks have 5 sections in IT
1 data center : Main part of the bank where all the data andcore banking application is there. The work of It officer ismaintaining and support. there is shift duty there
2. ATM section : looking after all ATM related activityinstallations there is also shift duty
3. Project Office: here all banking branch support for IT is going on. again having shift duty
4. Security Section: Looking after the bank network securityand anti virus updation.
5. MIS and Application section: there in house softwaredevelopment and MIS related activity happens.

Hi puys.. attended DENA bank interview a week ago based on last year's marks.. Posting d interview xp in brief :
1) Why IT officer? - Answered
2) Why did u leave ur job? - Managed to convince them (xplained 4 sm 5 minutes y an IT company was not my cup of tea)
3) Have driving license? Know how to drive a car? - Yep
Next he handed over to a tech guy :
1) What are the new trends in Bank tech field - Told online banking, ATMs, mobile banking etc etc bt he was not convinced..
2) How does IT help in financial inclusion - Tried my best at answering but he wanted a specific term. Finally gave up.
Then another guy started asking :
1) What's ur father doing?
2) Tell the name of a mobile company that has d name of a river? - Cudn't answer. He told NOKIA and I was shell shocked.. Laughed n told i never thought that'll be d answer.. Everyone laughed..
OK.. U may leave now..

Just managed to pass last time, so not expecting to convert the interview anyway.. Mayb tats y they kept the interview short as i dint stand a chance.. Xpecting better marks this time around.. Hope this helps.. 😁

All those who have cleared the exam, can we start the preparations for the interview. I believe there would not be much time, since a lot of ground has to be covered as well. So any ideas or suggestions on how to get started with PI preparations? There is a separate group for IT officer scale 1 interviews I saw the other day but even that seems a bit inactive as of now.
Any ideas/suggestions?
