but ... remember seats are vry limited for technical as vaccancies are less for that so score as high as you can .. seriously work vry vry hard ... i am also an ECE pass out guy.. and apply for technical . books you can follow like Arhiant self tutor etc. for pk...
and also some books for technical may come in market vry soon follow them which ever seem easy and practical go for it

ya its true a common technical paper will come ... but the standared of questions are high.. means there we have to apply knowledge.. just like in first year some typical questions are framed from topics that we are know but there knowledge is applied to solve problems... and easy knowledge based questions from our stream so that every branch students can solve it..because we have read overview of every branch in 1st year through the subjects.

the remaining sections are
Apptitude , Reasoning and general english....
prepare well apptitude and reasoning... from R.S AGGARWAL of S.Chand publisher.. best book and practice papers from last year CWE ... only these parts because GENERAL AWARENESS IS NOT CUMING IN SO EXAMS and general english is quite easy you can refer english grammer books

yups vry few questions frm core mech and CS but general questions like in pullies block system.. force and friction etcs..from cs lang.. questions c,c++ and java , DBMS , OS etc ... you have knowledge of that ,, but you have to apply basics concepts that you know to solve them
