can some1 put light on this issue that whether every people get posting in farther place in bank? and if some1 get posting in home city then also after 3 years people get transferred to farther place.being a married woman i am worried about this. plz guys clear my confusion.

I filled my category as obc at the time of exam but belong in creamy layer. Can i get into interviews through Gen category if my marks are above the cut off of obc category. Plz help regarding this.


I dont think so...
If your marks are above general cutoff(which i think so in your case)....may be considered.
Not sure, but if you are not able to produce OBC-Nc then you automatically considered in GEN(in most of exams, particularly MBA, small PSUs)....

You should contact concerned authority.(IBPS)...

yes, bank po may get posting in rural areas, but I have seen women are given home town posting(not necessarily) . I have read somewhere that when you get promotion from scale III to scale IV it is necessary to serve in rural area.

There are very few who have crossed 180 Mark. so u stand in top 200 I guess. Anyway it all depends on Banks who call you for an interview, If you score 180 i am sure that all PSU banks will call you for an interview and you have a pretty good chance of converting it If you do good there.

How will further process will happen? Do banks call on their own or banks will come out with some sort of notification and we have to apply in it?:-(

There will be notification from the Banks and you have to pay them challan and apply for it online, same as the other banks. They will shortlist you and call you for an interview. The only difference IBPS made is that we won't have any written test for those 19 PSU Banks. Please read this

Call them (Mailing will not work, they never ever have replied to my single email).
They have their details on the site no?

Call the EMS Speed Post Centre in your state. Just tell them your Speed post ref no mentioned in your email sent by IBPS and they will tell the status. Here is the link for the phone numbers(Check under Speed Post Customer Care)
