IBPS IV-- Cut-Offs and Interview Marks evaluation

It looks like many are not able to keep their nerve till results are out...Following cut-offs will relieve you...Before that just clear some facts in the mind..approx 44,000 candidates were selected for interview.. and the most possible vacancies are 21,000. Now just clear one thing mind that, all those who have given interview, if your interview went bad, moderate, above average, it does not guarantee you candidature in the final selection. As by clearing written exam, you have already proven you mettle. Now then what interviewer panel is looking for "is your determination to join banks and will you stick to banks for long time".. Now I have taken all candidates marks in PI as 40.. Consider 5 mark in PI mark as equivalent as 3 marks in your written exam...As you all of you know how was interview, marks yourself according to that. ( L.Y - Last year; W- written/online exam ; PI; personal interview) ..Now here's d cut-off..                                                                                                         General=> W- 94 => 45.6 ( LY- 42.2)                                                                                   OBC     => W- 85  => 42.00 ( LY- 36.8)                                                                                      SC        => W- 74  => 37.6 ( LY- 34.2)                                                                                        ST        =>  W- 58  => 31.2 ( LY- 26.2)                                                                                       HI         => W- 38 => 23.2 ( LY - 21.4)                                                                                     OC       =>  W- 36 => 33.2 ( LY - 33.2)                                                                                      VI         =>  W- 40 =>  24 ( LY- 19.6)                                                                           Remember good interview will help you to score well in PI...Now the above cut-off cleared candidate can relax...Actual result- First week of April 2015...  View interview classification in the comments( For those who are not sure how to marks them, this will give you direction). W=> IBPS recently provided online exam marks. check Website.

Those who have cleared above cut-off need not to worry about rejections.

Kindly read the article carefully,

your most of the questions will be automatically answered.   Those above "W" are at better position even their interview not up to standard. They will negate the effect of PI marks well ahead by their "W" score....

Abbre:

VI- Visually Impaired ; OC- Orthopaedically Challenged; HI- Deaf and hearing Impaired....All you have required equal and above mentioned "W" score and the for PI least 40 have been considered.

All the queries and the required information will be updated in the article and interview classification only as this will give more clearer and clearer picture to the reader.

For the calculation purpose, I have done the brainstorming, so you all please avoid it. The PI marks for all of you will be different, for the same purpose I have to take some single value as Base Value i.e. 40. Because 40 is cut-off for final selection. The ratio of weightage is as=> W:PI==>80:20; So all those who cleared PI will automatically get 8 marks in the final score at least. This will vary as per your PI marks. Kindly see interview classification for the direction. Now the remaining 80% will be your W score will be scaled down from your current acquired score to the appropriate weigh i.e.80%. This both will add up and IBPS will provide merit list on this final score.Following example will clear all doubts....e.g.General=> 94=>scaled down=>94/2=47=>adjust to appropriate ratio( 80%)=> 47*(4/5)=37.5(a)=>PI(20%)=> 40/5=>8(b)=>a+b=>45.6=>merit score.....Now do not brainstorm over cut-off as I did..Adjust your PI marks according to given interview classification and get your final score as you already have "a"...

This is relative analysis. The principle used here is "normal distribution". Those who are above the "W" score in the range 5-15 are ahead of the the competition. Normal distribution concentration is more below this range respective to the category. Why the range?? Ans=> because we have different cut-offs(e.g. gen, obc, sc/st). Now why I have chosen PI marks as base value and it is 40 for the cut-off?...Ans=> Firstly, PI marks giving me more stability than W score. The variation in the PI for the cut-off for categorize is relatively low than the W score. Secondly, PI has comparatively less weightage than W score(20:80)..So the additional variation in PI beyond my control is set-off here in the weightage. Hence it best to have PI as my base value. because for relative analysis I need one factor constant and its effect is balanced by its weightage. therefore do not baffle around 40. As I have given you interview classification, get the idea of the marks of your PI and and arrive at the final score. Let's Keep this article less technical otherwise it will be boring and less helpful. The objective of this article is to get more clarity to the candidates to their approach from now on....

What's more..?? ...IBPS PO-IV...( Result, Documentations, Joining, Offer letter, Bond, Training)                                                                                                                                 The last article that I have released will give idea of your position assurance in IBPS-IV. 90% of those who read it, will be feeling relax now. For 10% candidates are hanging around that cut-off score, You better start your preparations now for IBPS-V. DO not mourn on low score. Life is all about ups and down. Those who are unaware about it, scroll down to the article-" IBPS-IV-- Cut-Offs and Interview Marks Evaluation".  When IBPS will declare its final result, all the candidates will aware of their respective banks....Result-The result for IBPS PO-IV will be out in 1st week of April, not before that anyhow. You will be allotted with your preferred bank. Now your relationship with IBPS is over. The day results are out, follow up with your allotted banks- recruitment/career section. Do not follow IBPS website, as the job of IBPS will be over at the time of declaring result. The bank website will give you further details...Joining- Once the results are out you all who selected will get joining in the range of 10 days to 8 months period after the announcement of IBPS PO IV result by IBPS. Most of the banks will give you joining within 3 months. This range will depends upon individual bank's management/HR cell. Why there is delay..? Ans- because sometimes Boss/ CMD changes, management problem etc. Where this will be shown..??? Ans- On your allotted banks website's recruitment/career section. Banks will release appreciation letter to all those who selected. Banks will release allotted candidates to their bank ( Same list released by IBPS but it will be filtered to the respective bank ). Check your name in that list. If it's not there, call the bank allotted to you immediately. Banks will release list of documents required to be uploaded on the website. Banks will also release about the training details, which we will discuss below....Documentation- Those who fall in the category, require special attention here. There will be some category candidates who will score high that's why they will occupy general seat, but documentation will require. Special attention to be given to the following certificates...OBC candidates- central certificate- " Applying for Appointment to posts under Government of India "..Some OBC's in state list are not in the central list..hence due care..  SC/ST candidates- central certificate- "Applying for Appointment to posts under Government of India"=> state and central list mostly not vary for SC... VI/HI/OC candidates- your disability certificates... Medical you don't need to do right now..It will be when your banks will ask to. Do not fear for some appearances in the medical exam..Be relax..Offer Letter-    This will be provided by your banks. It will be provided on their website. This will give you clearer picture about your salary structure. All the details related to your Basic pay, DA, HRA, Allowances etc will be provided here. But do not assume this as your confirm joining validity, as your medical and documents yet to verify by them. But the % of candidates lapse here are below 0.1%. So relax. Bond-  Now this information you will get by bank itself. It will release Bond form..You have to fill n submit it to the bank. Bond period- 2/3 yrs..Bond amount- Rs 25000- Rs 2,00,000.=> Depending on individual bank.  before signing the bond, just clear in your mind that you are serious about this and it's not a child's play. If you are signing a bond of Rs 1,50,000 and leaving job in six months, you are not a good banker at the first place.                           Training - Banks will provide you training of 2 weeks before joining the bank. They will directly ask you to go to their training centre and and report their at first place. e.g. Bank of Maharashtra training centre @ Bangalore and Jaipur... The preferences will be given here according to your merit score for the selection of date and location of centre. Window will be open for few days. Hence stick to website till you finished all formalities. In training, the banks main focus will be on- "CBS- Core Banking Solution" software. What is CBS??? => It's a software basically you will be going to use in your daily banking hours and hence most important. More info- google it. They will provide notes of the same. Here you will be  acquainted with opening customer accounts, profile etc....After the completion of training of the designated period, you will be called to ZO- Zonal Office. This is the moment you will know, the zone you are allotted at. e.g. X state is divided into certain no of zones. You will be provided with the details of zone and the branch in that zone. The hierarchy is as follow:=> you(banker)=>Branch office=>Regional Office=>Zonal Office=>Head Office....Once you are allotted to one zone, you will serve there for 3 yrs mostly..You will be transferred within that zone into different branches viz. rural, semi-rural and urban. After 3 years, your zone will change or you may be posted into zonal office also. Normally in a branch, there are 2-5 officers( you will be also officer but at probation only). Why this range? Ans- bcz even branch size may vary according to city and population base. Now, after training, zonal manager will call you and will ask you to come to the office. you will have nice chit-chat with him. Then he will ask you which branch you want?? As you will be unaware about it, ask him to give you the branch which is most near to your home town. After that on the next day you have to join that branch. and your banking life starts...Do not mourn over other PSBs pros and your banks cons...All banks have their both side.

Note=> Zone changes after 3 years is a normal banking practice. If banker performs well, he can be directly called in zonal office..Then no more branch, no more customer service..Better you perform by heart, you will get fruit definitely. " imbibe a habit of getting transferred"

Medical=> Even if someone has any problem in his medical, still complete your joining process...Do not leave it in the middle because someone said to you that you are out of the process. Let the banks take call on this.

IB ACIO anyone?

February is of 28 days and march 31 days.laggi padi he sabki.please god kal interview ke marks aa jayen

IBPS-PO-IV=> Next Target=>DBF/JAIIB/CAIIB ( Pure knowledge sharing)..Be a smart Banker

DBF- Diploma in Banking and Finance..JAIIB- Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers...CAIIB- Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers...All three are conducted by IIBF ( Indian Institute of Banking and Finance).... Now why to get certified these exams?? => To get salary increment and promotions and get more qualified and acquainted with in the career.. PO=> clearing JAIIB/DBF => one increment=> around Rs 1300-1400 per month PO=>clearing CAIIB=> one increment=> around Rs 1300-1400 per month For non-banker members, IIBF allow for Diploma in Banking and Finance(DBF) exam. When a candidate clears DBF and then joins the bank, it will automatically considered JAIIB ( Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers ) by providing relevant certificates to the joined bank and IIBF. The time for the process of by banks to consider increment in pay scale is dependent on bank. Some banks give increment immediately in the next month after providing certificate to the bank and some banks takes a year. Better to clear it before joining because banks then immediately increase your salary... When you join the bank and you are JAIIB/DBF cleared candidate, you are allowed for CAIIB. Remember, for CAIIB( Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers) , you must be bank employee. For DBF, you don't need to be bank employee. For PO, after clearing JAIIB/DBF and CAIIB you will get approximately Rs 2400-2800 increment per month after clearing these two exams. For promotion, bankers must clear these exams. These exams have weight/points in the appraisal. So be serious about these exams for those who want to make career in banking field. JAIIB/DBF syllabus has been updated. Kindly check the website for the same. From May 2015 exam, this updated version of syllabus will be applied. According to the website, updated syllabus books are available with Macmillan stores recently. So some stores may/may not have these books...check your nearest store either at macmillan or IIBF website...JAIIB/DBF will be in the month of May 2015.  Those who are sure of their selection, better you start preparing for DBF/JAIIB/CAIIB...buy the books from flipkart/order it from Macmillan store. The syllabus is updated and flipkart don't have updated books in their inventory yet. But will be available soon. Last date to apply JAIIB/DBF is 20th march2015...and CAIIB- 31st march2015...So get the idea about syllabus of these certifications till the deadline and make a decision. Imbibe a habit of wise banker..Do wise to yourself then you will do wise for banks.

Reading material

- Only IIBF books, workbooks by IIBF, Updated material provided by IIBF, RBI, SEBI, IBA, IRDA, PFRDA. These website will give you further important reading source. If you are able to read all these, then only go for alternate reading.

For the detailed knowledge, kindly visit below mentioned site..

Clear Shots=> DBF=> For non-bankers ( e.g. students, any one who have not joined bank )

JAIIB=> Only Bankers ( those who joined banks )

But DBF regarded as JAIIB after non-bankers joins the bank. So don't create assumption that you have to give both DBF and JAIIB  both. Syllabus for DBF and JAIIB is same. After DBF, start preparing for CAIIB, but be a bank member before applying for CAIIB.

CAIIB=> Only Bankers. Why??..bankers got the code from the the bank which need to be submitted while filling form.

For Practice: Use IIBF workbook and mock test conducted by IIBF.

Now the big doubt:

Exam is in may month and all your joining may clash with this may month date......What to do?? Have following insights..This will help you...

If you attempt the exam:

case 1) Your joining date not clashed and successfully clear the exam... You will go for CAIIB in the next phase. Thus its improvise your time efficiency and later it will bring salary increment. You saved six months here.

case 2) Your joining clashed with exam dates and then you have not given the attempt. No benefits of the first case. You can not do anything here.

Also aware of one important situation: IIBF awards First class to certifications. Criteria For this=> 60% or more marks in aggregate and pass in all 3 subjects in " First physical attempt"....In case 2 you will lose this " First physical attempt" and you will not entitled First class even if you score good in the next attempt..Now. what is significance of  First class reward in your career.? Ans=> There will be no change in increment, So don't worry, you will get same increment as others who is first class. but in case of promotion, it matters. How, because someone in the promotion competition have first class reward, then he will have more points in appraisal and it will be advantageous. But at the same time you can off-set that with your other credentials.
