Please go through this situation and let me know your views on this.
Suppose I am a OBC candidate with General rank 4000 and OBC rank 10 ,
I have given 1st prefernce as BoB , now when merit list is prepared, and allotment is being done I will definitely want that i get a seat according to my OBC rank so that I could get BoB. If they consider me as UR , then I will not get my 1st preference ,even though seats are vaccant in OBC cat in BoB ,but are full in UR cat for BoB.
Wont it be injustice to me that I have done well in exam and got a good merit to be considered as UR, but now doing well in the exam worked against me.
For that matter the reserved category students who have an average score will get their preferred choices and high scorers of reserved category wont.
Any comments on this situation?

1 interviews was not just formality.(because i m from lower side hahaha)
2.i have checked 100's of candidates who r already recruited with SSC, IBPSPO1,IBPSSO etc.
3.15 to 20 % are absentees.
4.This is written in notification"Candidates successful in both CWE and interview are advised to log on to IBPS website at www.ibps.in",they will fail some of the candidates but in worst case because thay knows ki dropout seats k case mai unhe fir se merit list na banani pade.
5. every one with 150 written + decent interview have fair chances.
@raghu00 its not like that .... say if u a reserved category candidate .... and your 1st pref is BOB... during allotment firstly ..1st preference>>availability of seats in UR>>availability of seats in cat>> then second preference and on on....

not attened interview:9200(say15%)
remaining:50000(approx)
for 23k posts there will be around 50k people..so its almost 1:2 ratio...there will be a final cut off(written+interview)say some 63 for general and 60 for reserved..not everyone who cleared the interview can attain this cut off..so they will shortlist atleast 35k+ from this 50k..i have said this coz in the notification it is mentioned that IBPS willl keep a waiting list if in case one prospect didnt join or refuse the offer..there are chances..

bhaiyo i m from reserved cat n i know very well (200% sure)that how merit list is prepares.
they will prepare 11500 candidates UR merit list which contains GENERAL,OBC,SC,ST candidates according to their marks. then after reserved list prepared.
ny 1 who hv doubt can confirm by last year CBI selected list candidates.
