to be true it will purely depend on the merit list ..written + pi ....
so i dont think it will make any sense ...in making our own list and expecting to get BOB, PNB etc ....we have to wait till the merit list is prepared and respective banks release their vacancies.

There was a member on this PG, one Dwivedi ji, Right now he is in some SBI associate bank but earlier in Canara for about a year or so. Canara gave him a rural Karnataka posting where nobody even spoke English. All the branch people also used to taunt him. So Posting can happen anywhere, just avoid south banks if you don't want to learn their language.

@daddykool ---- i will seriously give a thought for these south based banks after reading ur posts.....but doing that,canara bank (which is one of my prefered banks) wud go out of equation....that wud eventually hamper my preference bcz iv got limited banks to choose from bcz of my grad marks...
GUYS,a straight qustion---which bank has the least rural branches in india (except IDBI)?????? any idea ...with statistics?
