i think IBPS will first allot seats based on highest marks so candidate2 will get PNB....now ,although BOI is ur second preference ,and candidate -1 has it as first preference still u would get in BOI because u r better candidate and u deserve to be placed before him....

@evanescent-song had they been asking for individual preference for postin too then there had been no discussion on dis topic.. the real issue is tht they won't ask for posting priority....
@bada.bhai thts d main issue.... i dnt wanna be in jaipur any more... m bored of dis place bein here... wanna be to some other place... but the bank officials don't ask for priority.....
my frnd got selected in uco... there the officer said... we don't ask for preferences... we've ur address n we assume tht tht wud be ur preferred location!!!

this is very true...i have experienced the same in my gaanv...gaanvo mein ijjat hai sarkari banks ki...no doubt.

Yes I did. But they were non committal about everything. They referred me to speak with the HR department but for that I have to visit the regional HQ. Not sure about how much success I am gonna get there as well. Anyone from Mumbai here? Will it be possible to visit IDBI HQ there.

cant say now....i like all other would like to go for the best (PNB,etc) but i have to see my ranking and NO of seats in each bank before this..
suppose PNB has 1500 seats and my rank is around 18000 (if 20000 are selected),in this case i wont have chance to get in this as it would be opted out by many...i will choose another banks then to make sure i get a seat in any govt bank....

yaar dekh seedhi si baat hai posting humare hath me nhi hai agar hume kaam karna hai to karna hai chahe rural ho ya urban at least private companies ke trap se to aacha hi hai

In my village there's a PNB branch and it closes in always before 5...and also it's a big village. Now say :D
